I've heard of it happen with naval peircings so I suppose it can happen with nipples. Was thinking of getting one of mine done but not sure about the pain thingy the Laird
Thats exactly what started to happen to mine I had my nipples pierced for 6 years, the first couple of years were fine but towards the end it became painful a lot of the time. Eventually I took them out for good Everyone is different I'm afraid and if they 'grow out', it is a different times for each of us. You might be able to try a bigger gauge or change from a ring to a bar but I have a feeling, once they are on the move, you are buggered, sorry

Let me think about that Hell yes It was complete agony when it was done although it is over with pretty quickly. It didn't stop me going back 6 months later to have the other one done. I did say I would get them done again at some point but I don't know if I want them enough to go through the pain again. I've sort of been there done that it you know what I mean, unless Ian asked. If he wanted me to have them again, I would. The other thing to watch, well with me anyway. During the time they 'grew out' they have scared the side of my nipple. It is not obvious at a quick glance but I know the scars are there and I don't like them

It seems that this affects some people.....One person can happily take peircings, whilst the next will reject them. There isnt anything wrong usually, its just the way you are. Having said that, If the initial piercing was done either to close to the surface, or using jewelery of to light a gauge this phenomena may be more marked.
Hi Laird.. firstly, just had a look at your profile pics..my ass doesnt look half as good as your other half in a kilt !! Mind u bein a bloke i hope it doesnt !! About the pain thing..owwwwwahhh yep it hurts, but only for a nano second. What you,ve got to remember is that with us guys, the ring has to go behind the nipple as ours ( usually) arent big enuff to be pierced through them, whereas, with a fem the ring goes through the actual nip... but dont let that put you off! its the best thing i,ve ever had done..soooo snsitive !.. go for it.. you/she wont regret it ! Its less painful having your PA done..the guy who pierced my nip had his willie done, but refused to have his nip done..I do hope i,ve put your mind at rest !! nite nite !!

any piercing can grown out as it is the bodys way of rejecting it .
Mr Skybluebabes still has his nipple pierced but even now after all these years it still gives him pain if i accidently catch it if im being far too rough with him as for my piercing ... its is gone forever and never to be done again!! Give me a tattoo anytime but never again will i have a piercing!!! The relief i had when i took it out (it was slowly and painfully being rejected) was immense ... oh and it also meant i could sit down for the first time in 4 months without thinking 'this is gonna hurt'.
I had my right nipple pierced in late August '02. I did it along with my girlfriend at the time,still don't know why. I know it is different for everyone as regards sensitivity etc,but sexually mine does nothing at all for it has made my right nipple larger than my left one and for the 1st couple of years I got a not unpleasant tingling sensation when it was very cold. It hurt like hell when I had it done,for about 30 seconds but after that it was took a long time to heal,about 4 months and yes I washed 3 times a day,very gently I may add, but apart from that everything is copacetic. Now my girlfriend on the other hand had a pain free piercing but afterwards it hurt her intensely for about 8 hours,even leading to her throwing up with the pain. As I say it is different for everyone. The only downside to it that I have encountered is that when meeting new sexual playmates,some of them think it there for them to pull and twist,sometimes very aggressively!!!!NOT!!!!! I have to put them straight on that subject,double quick. As to where guys are pierced,well mine is straight through the nipple and I have had no probs with it at all. Would I have it done again?Yup I guess I would since I will have my other one done sometime.I like them aesthetically,but as I say they do nothing for me sexually. Just my considerations on the subject,and in the end it is up to the individual person to do what they believe is right for them. Al
I know a woman who has her nipples done about twice a year cause hers keeps being rejected, if its happed once it will keep happening, its just one of them things, so you have to either accept you can't have it or keep going back and having it re pierced :shock:
It sounds like your body is rejecting the ring and i'm afraid there is nothing you can do about it, you can also have trouble if the ring is too big for your nipple. : i have been one of the lucky ones and never had any problems errrrrrmmmm with my nipples anyway lol
its not uncommon for some piercings to be grown out of the body. this is only because the body is constantly growing new skin cells that eventually results in the piercings changing from their original position. nothing to be worried about a quite common.
