Congratulations, you can now join the wonderful world of roadies. you are licensed to talk in an excessivly loud cockney accent (unless you wish to talk proper like us midland boys) moan continuously about everything and anyone you don't know, walk round with a roll of gaffa tape on your belt & fart with the stench of a calcutta sewer

so... no glastonbury this year .....but coming to a screen near u soon THE FILM
any comments anyone
ok bit off topic but i have such fond memories ..just wonderin if anyone else has smile

Holds such great memories for me also. I just love the way I saved £80 buy not buying a ticket last year and another £80 by not buying one for Mrs Tweeky either. Saved at least another £50 on the petrol my clapped out old Sierra would have used getting there and at least £20 on dodgy burgers. Another prime source of saving could have been the £20 -£40 that I would have undoubtedly spend on funny ciggys trying to be 18 again had I gone.
I use to go to the Ashton court festival it was at one time Europes largest free festival :) Then they started charging sad it started as a donation the first year but is now £5 mad thats £10 for 2 of us :( plus £10 for the dodgy Chow mein £5 each for Bus fare as the wise old city council decided to shut the Clifton suspension bridge on festival days making the walk not for the unfit :( Then of couse the £20 spent on legal highs trying to be 18 again :( As you can guess I stopped going :) Cheaper to stay at home with a few cans and a CD
Bet you would never have guessed I am as tight as a nuns *unt lol
Mr Tweeky
Never done Glasto but one day rolleyes
Hoping to do Download this year but the way things are going I may have to miss this one again mad

I remember going to a cinema in Folkestone to see Woodstock in the days when you could smoke in cinemas.

80 Quid Tweeky? You really haven't been for a while have you?!
I will definitely check out the "rockumentary" - 'tis by the same guy that did "The Great Rock n Roll Swindle", so hopefully will have some merit and not just be a wanky collection of camcorder clips.
I lurved Glastonbury, but the advent of requiring photo ID as of last year just pushed the meaning of the festival so far off the scale that I shall not be going again. Even refused free artist passes for next years event - would make me kind of a hypocrit to accept.
I'm thinking about checking out "Blues on the farm" this year - only about 3000 peeps but allegedly similar to original Glasto in atmos and ethos. The Glade also sounds like a winner - but there is evidently a heavy ticket price rise this year?
Swingbury? Hmmm - that would have to be a first night only thing....by day two it would certainly only be appealling to the mud/sweat fetishists!

The Glade, just cost me for 2 plus a camper for the duration. But if its as good as it was last year it'll be worth every penny.
As for 'swingfest', I think it's a goer.

sod the british overpirced, underavailable, overhyped, poor music festivals and go to the only festival that rocks and kicks ass! biggrin
roskilde festival! :D oh yeah! <ROCKON>
£120 sterling for one weeks camping, some of the best facilities going and the best organsiation I've ever seen at any festival. Seriously, once you been to Roskilde Festival, you'll never go back.

May have to look into that for next year (clashes with another camping trip this year . lol ).
Went to Download last year..........only downside was the trend for arson on the final morning, usually seen at Leeds, seems to have caught on.
