Is this stuff in the news just because there isnt anything else to write about or is it true......cos I'm scared :scared:
Well I had to google it 'cos I didn't have a clue what it was!
Have to say having read about it, I'm not too bothered
Its just the shits ...I think we will live lol
Norovirus can be highly infectious and causes gastro-related illnesses like diarrhoea and vomiting and it's people such as the elderly, young babies and people who are already ill who can be the most severly affected. It's more often spread through hospitals, schools and the like because it can be airborne when an infected person vomits. Good standards of hygiene can reduce the spread of the virus and thorough hand washing is essential both at home and in work.
Alcohol-based hand gels are now widely available in supermarkets and are an excellent way to keep cross infection of ANY virus to a minimum. Get into the habit of carrying a small bottle around with you and use it as often as you can between hand washes.
Ah so now theyve invented a name for what I had the week before last. The week I started this horrible cold virus thing!

Don't be scared - one of my daughters had it and she rang me just for someone to talk to in the wee small hours because she felt so bad - but it cleared itself in a few days. I understand that the thing is to take plenty of water so you don't de-hydrate.

That's a totally different virus hun. What's going around at the moment is a bad strain of the common cold ( I've got it too sad ) Noroviruses cause d&v and aren't linked to colds and flu. These hand gels can also be used to stop the spread of colds and flu too as you're more likely to spread it on your hands than sneezing in the same room as someone.
Fire hunni, there's no need to panic over this virus honestly :therethere: It's not as deadly as some of the papers are trying to make out.
