North South divide

Hi Folks
some of you might know me but so many new faces most of you wont.
I'm still amazed after all these years that there is still a massive north south divide on swingers, most of the ads and photo updates always seem miles away from me.
I'd love to know if there are as many swinging couples/females down here, is it they are just more reserved and shy so dont advertise, or are northerners just more sexually liberated???

I would agree. For years I have tried in vein to get regualr events socials munchs going down south. There just does not seem to be the numbers or interest to make events worth while. I once got 120 people for a munch however that was with the support of well known chat room users and to be fair a lot of the guests traveled from the north or more north than us lol

I would happily host 3-4 events a year try to get the scene moving down here but there is never any demand. About a month ago I had a chat with a few other members here about another party in Bristol and the feedback was theres not much interest. In the end what we did was find a good club thats not a million miles from us and go there. Always at least 50 people good atmosphere and guarntee's to give us something to do at least once a month if we want to. Other than that try other websites, that worked instantly for us.

I wouldn't say there was a north south divide, just geography. There are only a small minority of the population that are active swingers, (obviously not including the guys hanging out online looking for a crafty wank).
For arguments sake lets say 1% of the UK adult population are swingers. 1% of the populace in the Scottish Highlands is obviously a very low number. 1% in densely packed cities such as Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and London is obviously a higher number of adults, but still the same proportion.
There are far more of these cities in the middle ground of the UK than there are in the north or the south. Look at the southwest, swinging is very quiet because we simply don't have large populations sad

London cant exactly be called a small town smile

If i do a search in my area just nw of london the ratio of men to women or couples has to be at least 50-1
and then you seem to get a high proportion of then couples and females only looking for each other. In the adverts section of them looking for single men a very high number are from the midlands and further up, that cant be just geography there must be something in the water up there lol

as for driving well yes i can but with my family commitments at weekends it makes it rather difficult if not expensive.

Just a few observations: London is a huge and very diverse place with a vast range of events, interests, and activities on offer. When SH was a a much smaller community, a munch in Manchester once attracted over 200 of us, and in the same month a munch in London attracted just 33. That says something.
I'm not suggesting that Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle etc have little else to offer, but just that swinging seems to have caught on more in the north and midlands, both with the number and popularity of clubs and seemingly the membership proportion on here, as Winey says.
I think there other activities and pastimes which catch on much more in some areas of the country than they do in others. That's just the way things happen sometimes.

tis my opinion that the London scene is much way busier on both the Fetish and Private swinging parties than other areas of the UK. We've had some seriously kinky fun at some of the Fetish Clubs (Subv?rsion to name but one) with all the private swingers parties we've been lucky to have been invited (and attended) being in Central London.
What London may lack by way of Swinging Meets it seriously makes up with Fetish/Private Parties and had we not got other stuff planned we'd have defo been off to Torture Gardens August Ball in Brixton.
London void of Swingers/filthy ppl? I don't think so, them Londinians know how to play/party.

I've always noticed a difference with the socials. Not so much North/South divide but North East/Everywhere else!
No one wants to come up here and I can't blame them, I don't want to very often either.

Yes they do. I've been up there three times.
