Yeah, it has been noted, more than once, that this place is full of 'Northerrn Monkeys'. Thing is, despite being an impoverished Southerner, I find this terminology deeply offensive.

What is North & what is South?
As a Southerner I regarded anything north of the Thames as North!!!
Now I've moved from Kent to Derbyshire I regard Scotland as north.
So as Derbys the Midlands, do the SH members regard me as a Southerner or a Northerner?

look, we have dispensed with whippets. it's all staffy bull terriers and akitas oop 'ere yer know these days. you might find the odd wiry lurcher fair enough, and mebbe a ferret, cos you're gonna struggle to shove an akita down a rabbit 'ole, but whippets, no! and everybody knows the north starts at the gravy line. i mean, who ever heard of a mushy bleedin' pea line FFS? nobody, that's who!

As always Neil I am happy to be educated by those that really know and would ask others to replace the word nervous from my post with the word assertive, with reference to the dog. I believe, after consulting the 'Johny Morris' book of small dogs, the stunted still stands.
I also now understand that the mushy pea thing might also be a stereotypical association and will immediately seek out and board the gravy train that us southerners are alleged to enjoy and ride those gravy lines north to investigate.

Well, surely the dividing line between the south and the north is the north starts where our Yorkshire pudding covers the whole of the plate (we've had this before).
Why are there more swingers in the north? Well, easy, as a southerner in exile in the north I am one of those able to make a comparison: northerners are friendlier and more accepting of people as they are. While southerners tend to sit and worry about whether to strike up a conversation with the stranger sitting next to them on the bus (or wherever), northerners just go right ahead and do it. This of course translates in more successful swinging clubs, and just about any other kind of socialising activity.

I've noticed that, although there's quite a spread of folks from around the country, there is a definite concentration of sluts, tarts and nymphos in the Lancashire/Yorkshire region. It can't be just because they found this site in greater numbers than others, so what is it?
It really makes moving up there seem like an attractive idea.
