Northeast Munch Thanks Sean

well what can i say,
After touching all four corners of england tog et to the munch(well it felt like it anyway) I arrived at the munch venue tired and weary.I thought I would settle down in a corner and rest my weary head, but I soon discovered that that wasn't necassary, the warm welcome from those in attendance ( you know who you are was refreshment and sustinence enough for the evening and I had a fantastic time. Many Many thanks to sean for organising the evening, and to all who made it such a sucess THANK YOU

Actually, various prompting from other people on this thread has reminded me that I completely failed to say thank you to Ice Pie for my badge, much admired by Mrs. Deviated Prevert. Sorry we didn't actually get to chat, I kept meaning to collar you for a moment and didn't quite get around to it. No mention of Ice Pie last night could be complete without commenting on his outfit, he's a man for whom the word 'dapper' could have been invented.
Lots of last night is still a bit of a blur, I openly admit I don't get out much and it was quite a shock to the system to be in a room with so many people, even though everyone I met was very cool. smile

Nope..... though I do remember meeting you! Sorry to miss you off the first post there, was looking forward to finally meeting you as well.... and then I go and forget... May try and get to your South Sheilds curry night... depends on work though...

And a big thank you to ice pie too.. ( good reminder there DP!) I now have a couple more badges that i managed to snaffle, that will be stuck on the wall here...strange how I only seem to end up with females badges though!
Did anyone else see my hat get nicked as I got into the cab... ? Tthere's now some Geordie walking around Newcastle with my postie hat.... grrrrr.... oh well...

I have some very incriminating photos of our resident badge maker....I 'stole' his camera so he couldn't bin them :), he gave me permission to post. Venue was good and the atmosphere was fantastic.
Was great seeing old friends again and meeting new Munchers.......you were all great company, look forward to seeing you all again soon

Apologies to anyone we missed in first post however it was last night on our return and impromptu at that.
Anne has turned from a "lets go and see and i'll decide if its what i want" gal to "so when is the next one" :P
I have a confession I told her at the end of the evening that it wasn't a good idea to attand an after munch meet (although we did get a kind invite Thanks for that) The reason was as you may have guessed we were quite drunk and i was fearful she may have regretted it the next morning confused

Now before you jump to conclusions it would not have been any regrets about the wonderful people there only as it was her first ever munch and she had once told me before anything was to happen she would at least like get to know the people involved i thought mmmm :? Had she had felt it had been too early it may have affected any future hope i had (selfish i know) of a full and regular future in the scene with in a sober mood she agreed and therefore keeps alive our plans to break her duck (duck i said duck) in the future
As i said she spent the best part of the morning trying to rearrange her diary kids and ex husband toget free for the Skeggy do
Ice i thought your outfit was cracking mate and Kazswallows only saw you from a distance but :shock: was worthy of a few more glances biggrin

Oh and HLB i didnt see your Dams birthday post so belated happy birthday
Finally thankyou very much to all who attended After we returned home and had our coffe table disco the effect of her meeting all and being in your company resulted in one hell of frustration releasing steam into the early wee hours Needless to say i was happy to let her vent her frustration on me :D

First as my other half has already said thanks to sean for organising the the munch and Ice pie for the badges nice outfit ice.
Kaz loved the dress and tanina loved the boots. biggrin

It was great meet those of you who i meet before and those who i havent. I thought about naming names but i wont as i'd prob miss someone out.
I enjoyed myself at the before munch drinks during the munch and afterwords at the hotel. :D

Thanks Slyde Woosh for driving us home it saved us having to hang around the cold the bustation. Also the bus wouldn't take us right our door.

We have finally got to our thankyou after thinking about how the night went and would like to say thankyou to Fabio for inviting us to a well organised munch and persuading us to get involved all that time ago. Thankyou to Icepie for providing our badges and particular thanks to postie and mistress_sassy for taking care of us at our first munch and introducing us to some lovely people like freckledbird, itsonlyme1981, sarah, martycleveland and all those who we can't remember the names of but enjoyed meeting.
Yes postie you probably will see us at more munches in the future providing work doesn't clash.

We had a fantastic time at the munch and would like to say a great big thank you to Sean for organising it and to everyone we spoke to for making us feel welcome on our first munch.
We didn't have time to be nervous thanks to Vicky_UK talking us under her wing and introducing us to everyone who was there when we arrivied. We were gutted we had to leave early - but we did make the wedding do before last orders (with Den still wearing his munch badge :shock: )

Do your friends know? Ice made a good job of making the tags neutral in the sense as just mentioning a munch....
not sure if anyone seeing our badges would really know what a munch was ?
