Not Offended by Discrimination

Hello people,
I have been on this site for many years now, and have to say and I am pleased to say, it is one of the only places where discrimination is allowed and accepted.
People can ask for white or blacks only, tall people, small people, VWE, BBW etc etc. And it is very rare that people are offended smile We all see it for what it is, the right for people to like what they like.
But is there any discrimination that a person could put in an Ad that would offend you?
The word 'celibate' springs to mind rolleyes
......."I'll get my coat"
:giggle:
Edit: No offence intended to anyone of course redface
My motto has always been 'live and let live' wink
seeing as this is a site where people are requesting potential playmates to suit thier own tastes, and fullfill certain needs... they can ask for whatever they want.
Only the folk who feel they fit the criteria should be replying I'd have thought.
so really, its not so much the *descrimination* in the request... though perhaps a percieved prejudice in the manner in which the request is made.
innit?
lp
As far as I see it, it isn't discrimination, it is choices.
We all have different things that 'work' for us and things that are a turn off. Nothing we can really control. So asking for someone to 'fit' a need is just a personal choice confused

I am not saying it is a bad thing at all smile I am just asking at what point would someone be offended..
The is no way I am going to get it the whole discrimination topic itself as we would be here for the next 10 years.. lol

I honestly don't know if I would be offended confused
So what if someone wants a black BBW or a white VVWE, its their choice.
Maybe I'd have to see an ad or a suggestion of something for me to be able to know if I would be offended dunno
Stop making me think :lol2:

I can't see myself being upset at anything tbh... I mean, if someone simply ISN'T turned on by the fact that I'm white, or a brunette, or not a size 6 then why waste my time responding to them?
I'd rather know if I'm simply looking for a "play-mate"... on the other hand, if someone purposefully ignored me in a general chat room where everyone was having a laugh etc simply because I have brown eyes THEN I'd be upset!

I think the difference is, with most instances of discrimination there's finger pointing involved, and accusation, 'you're fat' or 'you're thin'; 'you're black' or 'you're white' and it's meant to be derogatory. Whereas here, people are saying, 'I like this, is there one out there?', so how can you take offence? So long as they don't start having a go at people for not being that then where's the harm?
Gawd, that made sense when I thought of it.

We have things in our advert that we are not looking for. We had an instance a while back where a black guy spoke to us. When we said sorry but we are not looking for black guys, he called us racists.
People sometimes are offended if they approach others only to be told " sorry but we do not look for overweight or hairy people ".But WE have the choice to look for people that meet what we look for. If people are offended we say sorry, but that's life so deal with it.

good point;
offence could be percived in *refusal*.
however, a request, well worded, should be seen for what it is... eggs, boiled please...
reply: sausage here?
return: No thanks, not even skinless.
repost: Veggie!!!!!
know what I mean?

One thing I have noticed on here is that if people don't want to meet black men they say sorry no offence, just not our thing, but when they want black men only they don't say sorry no offence, not our thing to the white men.
There is, or there was, an advert that said "we want blah blah ... and no mingers!".
mad
I do think you should be able to put any preference, but be prepared for some back-lash if you word it offensively.
I was asked to shave my toes - thats not on! rolleyes

I agree, its all in the way you word it, if you say "BBW's are not our thing", thats better than saying
"soz but we dont do fat birds!!"
there are nice ways of putting stuff and not so nice ways of putting stuff
and yeah....I AM one of those fat birds biggrin
The one I've seen that I actually find offensive is "Black guys welcome". Surely with the amount of mail some women get they could choose who they did or didn't reply to? Fair enough if they are specifically looking for a black guy to put "Looking for a black guy" but to say black guys welcome just doesn't sound right. (I'm not putting this across very well)

It is hard trying to say what you want without causing offence and getting it to sound right rolleyes
Its not easy accepting being turned down at times and so some black guys might only reply to those advertising for black guys confused
If an ad states black guys welcome, then they for sure it might be worth replying dunno
Anyone looking for a short arsed fat bird then drop me a pm :lol2:
I disagree Atom... I would say discrimmination is not allowed in this site which is why you see adverts for ALL.
I agree with Dawnie, it's about choices.

The thing is, who would actually not reply to an advert because they thought they were a minger confused dunno

I think to say we/I like x and y is fine but to say no ***** (please pick your own offencive word/s) Zs is offensive.
As has been said stating a positive preference is one thing. It is the way it is written.

I understand why you think I am wrong, but if a job ad stated 'whites only' this would be called discrimination. It may only be the employer's personal choice but still it is called discrimination.
I am not saying that is a bad thing at all on this site, I am just saying people are not offended by it when they see it on ads etc.

Swinging isn't a job though is it?
Swinging is about choices and consent so although I see what you are saying, I still think you are wrong :lol2:
An employer is governed by rules to make sure they treat everyone fairly and rightly so. A swinger is here to make their own personal choices.
Maybe its just me, I don't know but I have no problem with anyone saying white only, black only, big titted west indian or midget dunno
If that was the case, surely we risk the sexism card if I was to place an ad saying no females, white, black, pink or green :dunno:
Its no point having an ad up not stating your preferences because all you are doing is wasting peoples time replying to your ads and your own time to say 'thanks but no thanks' confused

But all discrimination is about choices surely? What is different between asking for 'VWE black men only' for a shag and asking for 'ginger haired, white, catholic homosexual male only' for a job applicant? The former you can do, the latter you can't. Why has this been allowed to happen? Is it all Dawnie's fault? Is it time for my medication? :bounce:

But you wouldnt see a job saying *white people only* and it wouldnt be classed as discrimination it would be classed as predjudice towards all those people it excludes of applying? Job applications are about equality and fairness to all...
Swinging isn't quite the same, its about personal choices. Replying to an advert isnt applying to shag someones missus etc etc..(tho some may see it like that lol) its all down to many other things that included consent, individual and joint choices, personality, fantasies...blah, blah. smile :)
