seeing as this is a site where people are requesting potential playmates to suit thier own tastes, and fullfill certain needs... they can ask for whatever they want.
Only the folk who feel they fit the criteria should be replying I'd have thought.
so really, its not so much the *descrimination* in the request... though perhaps a percieved prejudice in the manner in which the request is made.
innit?

I can't see myself being upset at anything tbh... I mean, if someone simply ISN'T turned on by the fact that I'm white, or a brunette, or not a size 6 then why waste my time responding to them?
I'd rather know if I'm simply looking for a "play-mate"... on the other hand, if someone purposefully ignored me in a general chat room where everyone was having a laugh etc simply because I have brown eyes THEN I'd be upset!
I think the difference is, with most instances of discrimination there's finger pointing involved, and accusation, 'you're fat' or 'you're thin'; 'you're black' or 'you're white' and it's meant to be derogatory. Whereas here, people are saying, 'I like this, is there one out there?', so how can you take offence? So long as they don't start having a go at people for not being that then where's the harm?
Gawd, that made sense when I thought of it.

good point;
offence could be percived in *refusal*.
however, a request, well worded, should be seen for what it is... eggs, boiled please...
reply: sausage here?
return: No thanks, not even skinless.
repost: Veggie!!!!!
know what I mean?

One thing I have noticed on here is that if people don't want to meet black men they say sorry no offence, just not our thing, but when they want black men only they don't say sorry no offence, not our thing to the white men.
The one I've seen that I actually find offensive is "Black guys welcome". Surely with the amount of mail some women get they could choose who they did or didn't reply to? Fair enough if they are specifically looking for a black guy to put "Looking for a black guy" but to say black guys welcome just doesn't sound right. (I'm not putting this across very well)
I disagree Atom... I would say discrimmination is not allowed in this site which is why you see adverts for ALL.
I agree with Dawnie, it's about choices.
I think to say we/I like x and y is fine but to say no ***** (please pick your own offencive word/s) Zs is offensive.
As has been said stating a positive preference is one thing. It is the way it is written.
