Thanks to Clare, Steve, Sarah and Dammie for all their efforts in putting this together! Was a blinding night!!

Well I'm adding my vague memories to the thread....I know I'm late but I've not been home that long and had no access to a PC til now!
Where to start? It was such a fantastic night for me. I'm so glad I plucked up the courage to join you all. People did mention that fact that I had the look of a rabbit caught in headlights but I was really nervous. It was so overwhelming how lovely you all are.
Thanks to DB and Sarah for organising and to Ice Pie for the badge....I'm treasuring that!

im very sorry i couldnt make the munch and left it to the last minute to cancel, but for weeks i wasnt sure if i was going or not, which the ones in the know knew about. i wasnt in a position to say for a deffinate untill the early hours of saturday morning.
as some may know i'm working on an adult site and if i had come to the munch on satuday then i would have missed the chance of an all expenses paid trip to london for some adult work to earn an easy and then to be taken to two of the best trans clubs in london where i will get to meet someone who has been a total inspiration and someone i have admired since me coming out, plus meeting lots of other trans friends i havent seen in a few years.
so instead of me blowing a small fortune on drinking and feeling ill, i made an even bigger fortune staying in, so i am sorry i couldnt have let sarah know sooner and have my place be filled by someone else, im glad i didnt go, and you all had fun without me anyway.
roll on leicester, i cant bloody miss that one wink

Well what a munch, I only just got home biggrin

Thanks to those who pulled this together, all of you are wonderful.
Extra thanks to Jas and Tim for the loan of a couch for 2 nights so I could get my head together for the drive home.
Sunday was not a day to drive after 2 hours sleep ;)
So I cannot begin to describe the munch or the wonderful people I met, some again, some for the first time.
I could never do it justice, I will put a few things down for posterity though:
Blue can dance, no matter how much she claims she was falling over in time to the music...
She can also punch like a mule :sparring: Next time we playfight Blue I am standing up first, hehe.
Honestly great to meet you at last, hope next time we can get a longer chat but things were a little hectic each time we passed each other.
Judy and Alison, great to meet and chat again, hope to run into you both again soon.

HR you are more stunning in person, was great to chat to you.

Firstly, thanks to Clare and Steve for their initial involvement of this event and for their work in establishing the first Nottingham munch. Secondly, congratulations to Sarah and Dambuster for taking on the organization of this gig, you've done us proud. Also thanks to Ice Pie for the badges and TNH as security doorman.
A huge thanks to Allison & Carla for their contribution in keeping the music at a high enegry level and making us all get on the floor and dance, even Bluexxx! That was a fantastic set A & G, hope you will DJ the next one!
I'd like to say thank you to everyone I met, chatted, snogged....you're all bluddy fantastic people and meeting you all again reaffirms my belief in what a great community we have here at SH. Saturday night was a display of SH at it's best and as munches go they don't get much better than this! The atmosphere was real magic and this has to be one of the best munches ever! So thank you one and all for making it a night that will be fondly remembered.
Special thanks must go to Onlyme1981for being my munch companion and for getting me there and back. It was a pleasure to take you to your first munch hun and I hope you feel more a part of SH, now that you have met the munch bunch.
Also, a real pleasure and privilege to have met the legendary Tune Essence. A real gentleman and just totally lovely guy.....I hope we will see more of you again and of course Mrs. TE as well.
Must say it got a bit surreal back at the hotel bar post-much, seeing Mr. Weeble mincing around in red stillettos and chatting up the rubber plant and then the appearence of blue smurfs. Did anyone get any pictures, I wonder?
And finally big respect to the Munch Brunch Bunch for making it to the cafe in the morning, despite all your hangovers. So glad we all made it and carried on the tradition........
