Notts Munch 3 hours and counting

Well as it says theres 3 hours to go,
but i was wondering has anybody been to a munch looked around the room and thought "OH SHIT" and seen someone there that they really didn't expect too like say,
your MUM and DAD? biggrin

I wouldn't necessarily be surprised with regard to my parents but meeting pete's would be terrifying ... however if I were to bump into them I'd want to know where the feck my children were!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh great! The first time for ages that I get a chance to get into the Forum and I am likely to be on my own while everyone else is off at a munch. Bugger it!

Here on the forum is heandtr and in the chatroom they go as cov_38154, well they came to the Midlands Munch in March. I had emailed with them and had a chat trying to put them at ease about the whole thing :roll:
As soon as they walked in the room I realised I knew H.
I went to school with her brother. My Mum knows her Mum. Our kids go to the same school and to top it all off T's Father lives next door to Ian's parents rotflmao

Just heard from a friend of ours who often goes into Nottingham he said that after the recent gun crime incident there is increased police presence. He said that some nights the roads going in/out of the city are patrolled and cars are often stopped and searched, sometimes unable to get into the centre and turned away. We are bit concerned about this as we dont really know where we are going to start with, let alone park etc. He also said sometimes there is often nearlly 2 hours que to get into the city.
If we get in, we will be late.

Not so as you'd notice. There are a few more armed response vehicles around the place and St. Anne's is 'busy' but other than that it's no different to any other big city. I don't know which hotel you're going to, but if it's remotely near St Anne's don't go. The city centre and approach routes are fine.

Yeah, it's called 'the rush hour'.
You do need to allow plenty of time as they're digging up all the approach roads, but don't believe the hype about the place turning into a warzone.

Just booked a room and looked up the train times. I have half an hour to chuck some things in a bag and get going.
For a stress-free life, don't plan ahead, planning just gives you stuff to worry about.
