Not my favourite entertainer but a thoroughly nice guy I'm lead to believe!

As an adult- he bored me to tears, but as a youngster, he was a part of my childhood.
RIP Jeremy.
That is a shock (obviously I have not read a paper/seen the news today). Again, I would not class myself as a fan but he did do quite a lot of good work for vaious charities (or so I am lead to believe).
He also was one of the organisers of probably the only ever pop festival that will ever happen in Wigan, but that was back in the early 70's (way before I old enough to attend these things) and I understand it turned into more of a mud bath than a pop festival wink
Bloody hell now that is a shock.
when i was younger i used to love watching him on Beadles about.. was one of the highlights of my saturday evening.
at only 59.. shows life is all way too short
Remind me- was it "game for a laugh" I remember him from as a kid?
There were 3 other presenters, and it was a part of the family routine in our house.
oo my gosh, such a shame, soo young too, was great to watch with my dad when i was a kid

For nostalgia's sake.....the theme tune....

Oh dear, bless I hadn't realised that sad
Just made me think how hard these people work for charity and yet sadly they die relatively young sad
Life isn't always fair.

Wouldnt be at all suprised with that prankster
RIP JB
He was a great entertainer and did so much for various charities. He'll be missed
RIP Jeremy
in the days before sky and cable Beadle would get around 15 million watching his programme.A Constant charity worker it is said he may have help contribute nearly 100 million pounds in his 59 years due to his famous personality and likeable nature.
Until his health got so bad that he needed to stay in hospital Jeremy was still writing books and setting a trivia quiz in a daily newspaper.
Love him or hate him, many have tried to copy his prank style of game show humor but he will always be remembered as a piece of classic british tv.
I will always remember the gag with the blokes van being pushed into the river.
Whatever he did, it was with a smile.
Such a young age .....
For all those Beadle fans theres a tribute to him on ITV1 right now hehe gonna sit down and have a laugh now.....
Got to say the funiest one i remember was that alien spoof he did lol remember that confused: how daft was that women lmao
Have to say, I never liked his tv persona, nor the programmes he was a part of relying on humiliation etc...
however, I was unaware of all the charity work etc etc
shame you have to die before that becomes common knowledge isn't it, don't you think?
lp
it is generaly the ones who raise the most and do the most work that are the ones who dont brag about it
a sad loss
Oh, I didnt know about this... where have I been!!
Quite sad to hear, he did a lot for charity over the years. Didnt like most of his programmes much but he had a good heart!
