Fartown is a district only mile or two away from where I live. It doesn't get sniggered at as much as you might think, as it's pronounced "far-town"...obviously!

Both Oxford and London (and other towns in England) used to have roads by the name of Grope Cunt Street and/or Grope Cunt Lane.
Obviously stemming from being 'red light' districts. Grope Cunt Street in London, I believe, was near Fleet Street (but I may be wrong on it's location- it's a number of years since I first heard of this).

I recently walked down Dogpoo Lane in Birmingham and was on the point of photographing the sign for posterity when I realised that some bright spark had scratched out a final L smile

We live near(ish) a place called Pett Bottom. Trouble is, it's miles from anywher- hence why it's not yet made it into the "sign post challenge" thread. rolleyes

Oh, and then there's Beaver Lane- but that's in a kinda busy location!
