Ok, ive inadvertantly put a cd in upside down, and now the fooker is jammed in.
The problem is, it's in the cd player of a hire courtesy car - what do i do?
Do i pretend I know nothing, in the sure knowledge that if I fess up they will charge me magabucks for the repair?
Or do i brazen it out, ask indignantly for my to cover my lost cd?
Or - how do I get it out
I voted to tell them but i wrekon they will know how to get it out as it must happen often
Depends on how good the cd was really lol
I don't think you are at fault cherry as putting a CD in upside down does not jam CD draws close in my experience, so I would just ask for it back.
I wouldn't try and retrieve the CD myself, becuase I know I'd just end up breaking everything else in sight biggrin
Why not take the line that the CD player broke because it won't eject the disk, even if it was loaded upside down? You could also deny all knowledge that you loaded it wrong and just act surprised IF they notice wink
What make of car and model is it stuck in.
Maybe someone has a similar car and might be able to help
lol

and if they do tell you it's upside down, tell then thats the way it fits in your car
don't try to remove it as the spindle clamp is probably locked in, the only way to remove it will probably involve opening the case, unless you just happen to be in Birmingham tomorrow and i'll sort it for you
Putting the disc in upside down won't jam the player, it should simply tell you that the disc is unplayable or error and then spit the disc back at you.
There must be some kind of fault with the player if it's keeping the disc, so I'd go back to the cars owners and tell them that it's jammed with one of your discs inside.
As mentioned, you stand more chance of snapping the disc or damaging the head unit if you have a go yourself.
How jammed is it? Can you see any of the disc, or is it all inside?
Oh and wearing a short skirt and fluttering eyelashes always helps in cases like this (Warning: Doesn't always work on a female receptionist ;) lol )

Ask for the CD back. The play is at fault, not you or the CD.
Thanks all - I told them the cd was jammed in, and they apologised to me, and will get it out asap
Well done. You didnt have to lie. And things resolved themselves. If you'd of kicked off with combative complaints you'd be digging in deeper & deeper. You wouldnt half look daft when they got it out and found out the truth.
