Now I'm the first to admit I can handle pain.
5 tattoos, several piercings. I laugh at those that feel pain!!! :hunk:
But if you ever see me near an epilator again. Please feel free to do anything to stop me!!!
Never have a felt pain like it. And I have a brazilian wax every 4 weeks.
Does the pain get easier? Please tell me it does, cause I'm sick of shaving!!!

I had a nasty experience when I tried to use one....
It tried to chew off my foreskin! :scared:
But Mrs C uses one all the time on her legs. Mind you, she refuses to let it anywhere near her foo-foo. ;-)

I dont know how to put a link in so i've posted on the old thread which gives you quite a bit of info - when i first tried epilating i really did want to cry and the pain was immense - it really truly does get better wink

rotflmao Yes I treat myself to one of those about 2 months ago, used it once, cried with the pain and have since gone back to waxing, far less painful! lol

One large high street store was actually promoting epilators as a gift for mothers day! :shock:

Why not just do some home waxing? I know someone who gets very smooth results from it. biggrin

The last time I tried home waxing, I got into such a sticky mess, you soooooo wouldn't believe it!!!! There was wax everywhere!!!
Ok, so I had drank half a bottle of vodka when I decided it would be a good idea to try it!!!
Actually thinking about it, maybe if I drink the vodka then use the epilator, I won't feel then pain!!!!

I do know the effect, you have to get the wax to just the right temperature. lol It of course helps to have a friend do it for you. :grin:
Last night at 9pm there was a repeat of a BBC3 program about a hirsute woman and during the program they visited a salon where an 11year old girl was having her legs waxed.
The wax used was a whitish, much smoother / easier applied type than the typical sticky hot wax, and I wondered what it was?

The more you use an epilator the less painful it gets!
Try numbing the area a little with an ice pack just before you epilate.
