Old Flames

I have just had the BEST afternoon in a long time....and it didnt even involve sex :shock: :shock:
An old flame found me on friends reunited a few years back and we have kept in touch on and off, but today he came round ofr a coffee and a chinwag and its the first time I have seen him in 23 years :shock:
We met on a camp site when I was 12 and he was 14, and it was a typical holiday romance LOL.....
He looks SO good even after all this time and I blew him away when I produced the 4 love letters he wrote for me, a photo of us together in that same campsite, all his bus and train tickets he bought when he came to visit me, and even the cheap metal 'wedding' ring he bought for me in 1984!!
We just spent a few hours laughing, reminiscing and catching up, and it was so much fun! It was as if the years hadnt rolled by at all.
Who from your dim and distant past old flames/childhood sweethearts, would you love to meet again, or have you, met up with anyone again, and if so, was it as much fun as first time round.
What is it about certain people that keeps them in your memories for such a long time, while others just come and go never to be recalled again?? dunno

There are only really two old flames I would probably have time for.. one of them turned up here a few months back but it was too hurtful to go any further
and the other is too far away anyway.
I think it's great you had such a good time Boney, lol

I recently meet an old flame again after a 23 year went for a coffee and caught up on what had happened to us knows why I dared to but at one point I felt I would be permitted and I gently reached out and touched her still blonde hair and said the most obvious thing I could have said.
"Oh it still feels the same, just as lovely"
We've kept in touch by email since, she's very married by the way, but it has struck a chord in us both.

I don't keep in touch with old flames/ex's, have no interest whatsoever.
Tho, often wonder what happened to little johnny I was mates with for years when I was kid in Yorkshire. We had a right crush on each other lol

I was lucky enough to end up marrying my first love. We were childhood sweethearts and lost our virginity together. We divorced 25 years ago and are still each others closest friend.
As a mature student in the early 90's I met a married woman at Uni. We became really close but never went to bed whilst students. A couple of years later we did end up in bed but were both so drunk that nothing happened. I often think of her. I know she got divorced and re married. I still have a tingle in my heart when ever I think of her.
