On a positive note.........

There have been far too many threads having a moan about this and that recently. Some have raised genuine and legitimate arguments and some just having a winge for no other reason than the poster was p*ssed off at the time. Yes, I've added my comments, as have others, on subjects such as winks, slow servers and abusive replies but I think it's time to tip the balance and say what's good about SH. This is only my view so members, feel free to add your own or mods, feel free to lock it, as you see fit.
Reasons I use SH:
I've made some really nice friends
I've had a couple of very nice meets with extremely nice ( and sexy :twisted: ) people
I've been given the chance to express a side of me that has lain dormant for many years
Some of the threads and posts have had me holding my sides with laughter and have resulted in my coffee being wiped off the moniter on several occasions !
Some days I've come in feeling none to cheerful and that mood has been lifted by the community spirit we have here
I get to perv at some very sexy ladies ( and guys when the mood takes :twisted: )
My self esteem had taken a nosedive when I split from my ex, soon to be uplifted by you lovely people.
Yes, the changes in the site have been disrupted a lot recently but the Mods are doing a grand job to try to keep everything going as best they can and taking a lot of stick in the meantime kiss

I've been made very welcome here in the last few months, had some laughs, made some friends and I just want to say thank you to you all for that. :kiss:

Here here! Ok so I may have had a moan or two, but I must agree that my experience on SH so far has been great. I am new on here but I am slowly building some great friendships and I can't wait to go to a social/much as I have been made to feel very welcome. Another point I wish to make is that many of the 'regulars' on SH have been quick to offer kind advice whenever needed and I just wanted to say thanks! biggrin

I agree Sassy - I feckin love this site , but perhaps because of the people in it than the 'site' itself. I spend way too much time on here but in the same breath I get a little lost without it.
Yes I rant, alot lol

, and yes there's whingers, but sometimes I think that helps things stay balanced and 'real'. You cant please 100% members 100% of the time, and without the differing opinions, the rants, the whinges etc it would all be just a little bit too sickly sweet nicey nicey up each other's arses & fake :lol:. I love how most people say what they think here - as opposed to saying what others want to hear/ expect you to say because of some innate need to 'fit in' - now often someone will get shot down in flames for it, but the fact they say it in the first place - and SH attracts such people - is one of the reasons I stayed..... that, and this:

I love this place because you'd be hard pressed to meet the sheep variety of peeps (and a shed- lets not be sheddist!) anywhere else.
Its not just about the sex, the best bit is if you need help in a crisis people you have never met rally round- a true community.

I posted something along the comunity spirit thing the other week when someone sugested that we should stop covering non sexual or swinging topics in the cafe. But to capitilise I get so much more from this place than sex, which in all honesty I've not been botherign with of late because I've had more important things to deal with. But I'm still here and ain't going far either biggrin

I use other sites they have forums but thats all they are web pages where people post their views. Here you get so much more, friends, help (on site of off), you can socialise, spout bollox or have a read through threads and have a bloody good laugh :D

Well said Sassy. The thing that makes this place is the people in it, and the ability to be yourself and not be judged for it as you would be in most other walks of life. I've not been here that long but I'd consider some of the people here to be friends, a word I don't use lightly. I'd like to say a big thank you to all of those who have made me feel welcome.

yes i admit i have put a cpl of rants on here redface

the trouble is here is the only place i can ask questions ( for obvious reasons) lol.
we have only been on this site for a short while but we seem to becoming seriously addicited to it , i love reading all the threads on here like yourself i end up holding mysides laughing. i have meet a lot of nice people on here ( also a lot of intresting ones so to speak!!!!!!).
really just want to say thank you to everyone im finally coming out of my shell and talking to people ( can be very shy).

I wholeheartedly agree Sassy.
That has always been the essence of SH from the days of the luvverly Black Dalek through to the 4Ts!
Yes - it has become a bit more of a sex site I suppose for some people, but for me and many others on here - it is about community, warmth, friendship and humour.
I also have made some wonderful friends - I have met many (maybe not in the biblical sense) and I hope to meet more.
These friends are not 5 minute wonders - where the friendships blaze for a few moments then fizzle out, they are lasting friendships - those where you may not speak for weeks or even months because of circumstances, but when you do encounter each other again - it is like yesterday.
This site has much to offer so many people, we get out of it what we put in.
Yes the site is very slow at times (even thought I have just upgraded to 8mb dsl) and there are more frequent downtimes. And, yes, I can understand a little of the frustration of those who who have paid. I do also realise that every effrt is being made to rectify the situation as soon as humanly possible. However frustrating it all seems it should be remembered, this is an internet site at the end of the day - a albeit glorious one. There is a real world out there. I am just fortunate to know that my real world contains quite a few of our lovely members too.
So Sassy - a well thought, well written post - and very welcome after all the negativity.

Although i havent been on this site as long as many of you have... I have had a few thing to moan about, but i feel i've spoken to a lot of nice genuine people ( you know who you are wink

) and the majority of them being fems!
and hopefully ( asi'm never off this site) they'll become my friends too (awwwww!) lol

Nothing much more to add here, itâ€™s all petty much been said, good post hun :thumbup:
There are many swinging sites out there, some good, some not so good, but this is the only site I have found where the community is so ready to bring newbies into the fold, accept them for who they are, and very quickly integrate them into the family.
The banter is exceptional and rarely if ever goes over the top, rifts are quickly healed and help of whatever kind is always at hand, especially when the chips are down and you need the support of your friends.

Although i'v whiged myself and not being here long theres nowt to match this place and i luv it.
Yes the Admins, mods and ops work bloody hard thus reducing their own time spent swinging etc.
