Right I've just been into tesco to pick up a few bits and bobs.........one of the things I wanted was a few packs of the mini boxes of smarties as I normally wrap them up like mini pressies instead of buying tacky ready made chocolates for the xmas tree......and shock horror they didn't have any  I guessed that they were just out of them so forgot about it.
Now I've just had a look at tesco online and I can't find them on there, so I had a look at the nestle website and they only have information about the tubes (and don't start me about the new hexagonal tubes! confused ).
Does anyone out there know whether these packs have been discontiued  and more importantaly if they are no longer available can anyone think of a suitable replacement for them (apart from having to put sweets in little boxes myself)?
We use these for lucky dip games at work, over christmas.
I usually buy them from Morrisons. Havent looked this year yet though!!!
They can't stop doing them!!! What else will I bury in sawdust and watch the kids root around!!! Only to see their ickle faces when all they get is a crappy box of smarties!!

Or, you know that gift you buy every year, the one that you can never wrap? Normally bottle shaped .......... and no matter how you wrap it, it still ends up, errrr, bottle shaped blink ...... well, how about individually wrapping a load of them Cola Bottle sweets to hang from your tree, for that authentic, but minature, awkward present touch? biggrin
Well at least it's better than Mr'n'Mrs bluddy Gravy Granules up there!! :? :rotflmao:

(that is if you can resist eating them for the next couple of weeks)

Happy to report large tubes of orange smarties are available in my local shop, as are the small hexagon shaped boxes at , but not the small boxes that PK is looking for.
Now naughty people have to be punished :P :P :P
