I've done this before, several years ago, but i can't remeber how i did it!
I want to use the extra features of Outlook with access to a account, but i can't find the settings for the pop3 incoming mail and outgoing mail servers, ie the server my account sits on.
Has anyone got experience of setting this up who could point me in the right direction?
Ta very much
Is this the sort of thing you're after?
POP3 settings
POP3 is a way to receive the e-mail messages in your Inbox on other devices or services (for example, on your mobile phone, in an e-mail program on your computer, or in a different e-mail service). You don’t need to change any settings, but the mobile phone, e-mail program, or service may need you to enter your POP3 settings when you're adding your account.
POP3 settings:
Field Value
Incoming POP server
Incoming POP mail port 995
POP SSL required Yes
User name Your Windows Live ID (for example: )
password The password you use to sign in to
Outgoing SMTP server
Outgoing SMTP mail port 25 or 587
Authentication required Yes (your Windows Live ID and password)
TLS/SSL required Yes (select TLS if available, if not select SSL
Cheers Pete, all sorted :bounce:

I've never been able to get Outlook to work with , googlemail or anything. Tried many times and always get completely flummoxed at the POP stage - mainly cos I have no idea what it's jabbering on about.

When you set up a mail account in say outlook, just fill in the gaps with the info in my post above, worked for me
