Isn't that what I said???? confused
Love Fee xx
Ive only had one real dabble with a Ouija board and there was "someone" who wanted to speak with me - so i asked that "someone " a question. NO-ONE in the room knew the answer to that question - but the answer came back loud and true!
Ive not dabbled since and i agree that things like that should be left alone unless we know exactly what we are doing!
Scary!
Like frecklebird i see/hear visitors, not that regularly, but enough to know im not imagining things.
IThe link below is a story, based on real events, that happened to me, some of you have read it before. About a week latter someone else posted their experiences of having sex with a ghost.
http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/stories/story-3328.html
Id love to go to a Spiritualist Church but know i couldnt cope with all the religion bit!!
II have never messed around with boards etc but have had my fair share of encounters with the passed over..................................my sister lived for a while in a house that was occupied with not only her family but a selection of "ghosts".One was a very mischievous little boy that did all sorts around the house another was an old lady who liked to take brother in law is very sensitive to this sort of activity and has experienced allot of also rates a couple of well known mediums and has been to see a couple.
It's better to leave well alone things you don't understand as a bit of fun can lead to a lot of if it can scare the shit out of to hard men built like brick shit houses then what hope is there for delicate flowers like us lol
Whether it works or not, I know I couldn't handle it if anything did happen.
What a wuss

well i haven't played with oijua boards since i was about 13, cos basically, it scared the shit outta me.
for example . . . recurring messages from a suicide victim who gave her name and address to us, and personal details, that later proved to be bang on 20 odd years previously. these came through several times, even with a completely different set of people on the board.
but more scary . . . messages from someone called Jeb, who claimed to be a bit of a big wig in hell, and engaged in a bit of a war down there. he sent the glass spinning all over the place, even after everyone else took their fingers off in terror, leaving just me touching the glass, before it went sailing off the table accompanied by a loud thump in the house. was a tad disturbing to discover some 20 years later that Geb is an egyptian underworld god who holds the souls of the wicked. i know i didn't know that at the time, so don't see how i could have been directing the glass. dunno a touch coincidental?
fascinating, but can be VERY scary.
and yep been to a spiritualist church a few times. most were absolute charlatans IMHO, but on one occasion my aunt was given specific family information that couldn't have been guessed at, or provided to the medium.
n x x x ;)
Foxy most spiritualist churches don't do the religious bit, they aren't always in actual churches either; more likely to be a community room type of thing

thats interesting, h/b has been to one and they always closed with prayers and i think hymns
Cant be doing with all that mumbo jumbo - no offence to anyone who s into it all!!
dunno they must do it differently where you are then; i've been to 3 different ones here and there wasn't any of that

I know that this thread is from ages ago, but I typed “ghosts” in the search and this came up.
I suppose it’s a subject that really interests me. Do I believe in ghosts???
Its funny when your younger and your lying in bed probably with your mate on the floor next to you and you tell ghost stories, you end up screaming and thinking that the dressing gown on the back of the door is a dead person coming to skin you and pull all your teeth out one by one!!! And I suppose when your younger you seem to be sure that there is a heaven an there is such things as a ghost!
But then the years creep up and its nothing that u really think about, or even really see your own opinion on the subject. Then something happens……… that makes your heart thud to the ground and then the big question appears in your brain. … “is this really it will I never see them again”, half of you tells you “of course you will, its something that you’ve always known, the people we loose go to heaven” and the other half tells you “you think you will because no matter what happens you carnt let go, its your way of dealing with things”. …………
Then you spend the rest of your life waiting till the day you take last breath as you might just see those people again!
Well that’s where I am at, and to be honest I don’t know! ,I recently had a erm……. Well it was either a “spirit” or me going mad.
When me and colin moved into our house we knew that the woman who lived here previous had died in the living room. There was the lords prayer written on the wall, but we just thought she may have been religious but then I thought if she was she probably wouldn’t need it written on the wall???? Anyway a few weeks later I came down stairs one morning and the cupboards underneath the stairs and the cupboards in the kitchen were all open!! I thought it was colin but I realised that he was in bed after that a lot of things happened, and I did a oijua board and to be honest it was stupid especially after a getting arseholed for the courage!!
It was very weird , 6 months later and its been ages since I’ve seen or heard anything.
So was it me? Or “michelle” I dunno but I suppose I think there is a heaven and spirits because it helps me deal with loss much better!!
Omg!! Ive got carried away!
Oh come on!!! Let's get real here!!!
I have a mental image of Ouija Board the finished Ouija Boards from the assembly line to the Spiritisation Dept. before being sent off to Packaging & Distribution. ffs.. what they got there ... a vat full of Ghost Mix???
When ya dead ya dead.. lights out, finito, kaput, bye bye!
It's all to do with man's utter conceitedness and obsession that there must be more after life coz we're so bluddy important to the very fabric of the universe. What bollox.
p.s. When I'm dead don't try and get me on Ouija number 666-666 coz I'll be off playing golf then getting pissed then off for some extra-supernatural sex in Swinging Heaven (it's a club I been told about)..... hehehe

Just you wait till you have a personal, psychic experience. It will blow you away.
I personally wouldn't touch a ouija board with a barge pole. Very dangerous ground IMO.
I completely believe in spirits and life after death. I'm a bit psychic myself and have had many encounters with the spirit world. The Laird was not completely convinced himself until we were at a psychic "show" earlier this year. I got called out by my first name by the medium in front of hundreds of people and was given loads of messages for friends. Then he asked me to pass the microphone over to the Laird for the final message specifically for him.
The Laird was speechless (which doesn't happen often I can assure you!)
Everything that was said was spot on.
I had a weird dream about an SH member (no, not one of THOSE dreams rolleyes ) and when I told him about it a few days later, it turned out he knew exactly what I meant as it corresponded with something happening in his life at the time that I did not know about.
Best advice I have is to visit a Spiritualist church or if you are very careful and find a reputable person then a personal visit to a medium. But there are so many fakes out there. confused
It's not a substitute for the grieving process though. So if you're going through a difficult time, I would suggest waiting until you start to recover before seeking out the spirit world.

Fee: I'm not belittling you or anyone else that has had psychic experiences but my logical mind finds it very hard to believe in anything other than what I cxan see, hear, touch, taste, smell .... and perhaps percieve..... but that's probably the key here..... perception. I don't subscribe to this everlasting place of no hardship and eternal peace and tranquility nor do I believe that we get 72 virgins in heaven either, but then I don't believe in hell either. But maybe some people have a higher perception level than I do
My sceptism is a result of my mother seeking out medium after medium when my grandfather died and was told all kinds of horseshit ... all they wanted was her money. As to Ouija boards, I've never seen one being used and I think I would be so pessimistic about it that I wouldn't believe it if the thing actually did work. I guess I need convincing really.
ouija boards-
Junior school 4 of us one dinner-time, and don't believe in any of the shit so why 25 years later, do I still get the willies when I think of it???????
Haven't been near one and don't intend since !
Mrs Goodtimez
my advice is
leave it alone please.
it can turn very very dangerous.

Wishy, I totally know where you are coming from here. I'm a very logical person. I need to know how things work, why they work etc and have a healthy scepticism about lots of things in life. I ask questions about everything! I do need convincing of many a thing.
My sceptism is a result of my mother seeking out medium after medium when my grandfather died and was told all kinds of horseshit ... all they wanted was her money.

This is all too often what happens from money grabbing fakes. I don't believe in probably about 90% of the people who claim to be "mediums". Usually the best ones are heard about through word of mouth.
I guess I need convincing really.

I know at the end of the day the things that I've experienced are very real and sometimes still surprise me. It's good to be sceptical. It means you shouldn't be taken in by frauds.
But if you stay a little bit open minded you might be pleasantly surprised one day wink If/when it ever happens to you, there will be no doubt in your mind IMO. smile The paranormal/spirits aren't something you can be convinced of by other people. You have to have your OWN experience to believe!

Without trying to sound morbid or weird I have a slight fascination for the unexplained and always love to read a good mystery and watch programmes about the occult etc. I was having a conversation with my friend the other day about a horror movie we watched recently called 'Witchboard' (about a woman who gets involved with a ouija board to disastarous consequence) and my friend suggested that we try a ouija board.......my initial reaction was that this might be a fun idea but as we started preparing it I had second thoughts and decided that it might not be a great idea....they say that curiosity killed the cat!
Has anyone here ever had any experience of ouija board and would they recommend it? Or any other stories about strange happenings?
:evil2:

Although I have always been fascinated by ouija boards, I have never actually tried one, after reading Dennis Wheatleys books and his warnings about the dangers of dabbling with the occult, I did go to see the film " The Excorcist" but I wouldn't advise anyone else to see it, because it was very frightening : disgusting, abhorrent, sickening, shocking, to use just a few adjectives and from my limited understanding, I am convinced of the dangers involved, think about it, the spirit world must be absolutely teeming with evil, waiting to snare and attack the unwary : be warned!!! mad evil
My thought for the topic is 'A LIttle Knowledge Is A Dangerous Thing'....
Many many full moons ago ( not that sort my jeans were firmly in place) I had a 'dabble' into the world of ouija.... I had a bit of a chat with a friend who was into wican, read through a book he loaned me and away I went, armed with 'A Little knowledge' and a lot of curiosity.
Next time any of you see me, ask to see the scar on my left hand.....wether the glass smashing was supernatural or simply too much pressure of 5 pissed up youths pushing down on a glass I will never know, but the result was the same either way..... casualty and 9 stiches lol

just my 2 penny worth
leave what you dont understand alone
most spirtual churchs wont do ouija boards....mainly a service and healing....if your really intrested in spiritual development
join an awareness group
then you may be lucky enough to get into a closed circle

I have attended development classes, there are many spiritual churchs around.
Also workshops wink
But have to agree with red, leave well alone unless understood.
Personally i do not believe in such things, i do not believe in ghost's or life after death or being cought in the inbetween world rolleyes when u die u die and u either get put in the box in the groud or get burnt, i know not everyone feels like that and some seek comfort in thinking theres a after life and thats fine, but to me ouija boards, telling the future or anything like that is a load of rubbish made up by peiople who are trying to make money out of u, then passed on to people like us to have a dabble with not having a clue what we are really doing, and i don;t care how many of u say u have tryed it and says it works there will always be a logical explination for what had happened to you, from mind tricks to someone in the back groud playing a prank and all sorts inbetween, come on be serious if u was dead would u contact a group of noones playing with letters and a glass?
From my own personal view I believe the dead should be left well alone to travel to their next incarnation.

Wishy,
move away from your logic and open your mind to it's potential wink
Well I'm sorry folks but I do not believe in any of this - when you go, you go and that is that!
Now I do not want to get into an arguement about the afterlife here - people believe in that and that is fine but the concept that having gone to the afterlife we try and influence what is happening in this life defeats me. We are getting into Harry Potter territory here.
Look at the number of posts here that have said "we tried a board with an experienced person" - dont you think that gives something away? If you had tried to move a glass around a board without an "experienced" person what would have happened - probably NOTHING!
As for keeping glasses upside down, look in your nearest pub - you store glasses upside down to keep the dust out FFS!!!!
I have seen friends upset by folks who are basically charlatans and have got a kick out of frightening others or trying to influence my firends behaviour for a variety of reasons. I have no time for these people who try and feed off other folks feelings/beliefs.
Look at Arthur Conan Doyle - a successful man who wrote about all this stuff and very strange reading it makes!
No, I'm sorry! If anyone should be able to get messages from the "other side" I have more reason than most but despite my best attempts I am still waiting for the real (or any other) experience!
Mr "grumpy" McC lol
I find the whole area of the supernatural very interesting and love to watch or read about this topic.
Not sure whether I believe in it or not, I do believe the dark and your imagination has a lot to do with being scared or thinking you have heard/seen something, but i am not discounting anybody elses experiences for they may be genuine........I really don't know!
My mother-in-law is a spiritualist and according to her has daily experiences of the afterlife.....but she always was a bit strange.....and I for one have had no evidence of it.
I guess I believe enough not to mess with ouija boards and the like.
x
I do not believe in ghost's of any kind but a friend asked me to try the ouija board and too my suprise it produced some amazing results. I decided to investigate further and read one theory that it was something do do with the power of the human mind. to prove this theory everyone must look away but keep their fingers on the glass. the result was the glass moved but spelt absolutely nothing.
i used to attend a spiritulist church but i found that i was allowing myself to become to open to it that i could feel people there in the background which is very scary so i stopped going and closed my mind to it. i agree with the advice if you don't know what its all about stay well clear you may well be more perceptive than you know and get a big fright no matter sceptical u may be at first.
Really good subject , there are some really powerfull forces out there and its proberbly best to leave them alone unless you are prepared to accept your life changing forever , my view is i will find out when i die , until then i will keep away.
I once remember a girl bringing one into school and the teacher deciding to do a whole lesson messing about with the thing.
nothing happened.
Wierd teacher though
