This is a classic symptom of type 2 diabetes in women, you really need to see your GP asap.
If you are suffering right now go to your pharmacy and have a word. You may be able to buy a Fluconazole Tablet for about a fiver which, if it is thrush, will clear it in a matter of hours
I can sympathise with you, good luck. kiss
Oh poor you!!
Hope you feel much better soon.
If you cant get to a Docs or chemist, then why dont you try bathing the affected area with sea salt dissolved in boiled water.........dont forget to let the liquid cool before washing though or that would be a bigger OUCH!
Hope this helps in the time before you can get to see a professional.

try bathing in a bath of luke warm water, take a book and have a good long soak, warming up the water slightly if needed. its an old fashioned way of temporarily relieving thrush etc, it wont cure it but it may take away some of the discomfort you are feeling at the moment. hope it helps :therethere:

I know you're just trying to advise but one of the worst things to do if you suffer from thrush is to sit in a bath.
I don't know about tears really hun but to deal with the thrush.....don't have baths, don't use any products in that area, wear cotton knickers and only wear thongs on nights out not everyday. If possible as well when you come in from work take your knickers off and either wear a skirt or loose cotton trousers. God it sounds like I'm being all kinky telling you to go round in n knickers :lol2: but honestly it does hep a lot smile
There you go Posh getting all kinky again. Ahem.
no, but seriously... I concur
my advice to any woman... in pretty much any situation,no matter her medical predicament would be; lose the knickers.

you are soooo bad! smackbottom
Fem, poor you :therethere: re-occurring thrush is normally a sign of candida (I think) too much yeast in the body or allergies to underwear etc.
Hel has prob given the best advice, a doctor's visit is in order tho..
take care xx
Hi Fem I have been a fellow sufferer of this for quite a few years and I have found that:
The more canesten cream I use the more tears I get. I now use the oral tablets and the pessaries immediately the familiar feelings start. If I can head off the full attack and not use the cream I have far more chance of avoiding the tears.
Hope it helps

smackbottom it's not me being kinky, the doctor told me......honest :lol2:
hi Dr Vase here, Posh, you know.. well, its in the results. KINKY .Nuff said. oops so much for confidentiality.
oh and you can bring that twig any time.
Fem, I feel for you... its not very nice and quite painful!
I agree with Kate and if you cant get to a chemist because of the *happy hols* natural yogurt helps sooth it...though it sounds like you dont have thrush at the moment Fem?? Dr's asap me thinks! Hope it eases quickly kiss
And the guys! Hope you never get thrush or anything similar....cos I will be sat here laughing at your discomfort! Someone asks for a bit of womanly advice on something thats really horrible and very painful and you make jokes? Shame on ya!
awhh thankyou to all of you. still sat here hurting like hell, what a lovely way to spend a easter weekend, lol ive achieved nothing.
im really hoping it eases by tuesday as i have to go work.
fire i will be sending you a pm if thats ok xx

I've heard the same remedy as Anais - but it has to be "live" yoghourt -- the greek style stuff is supposed to work, soaked onto a tampon. It not only soothes but the live yeasts compete with Candida for nourishment and also produce a slightly "acid" environment that the candida thrush can't stand.
there is probably a chemist shop open somewhere for (even onso easter sunday) try there for a thrush treatment which mite help until you can go docs
or if its really bad mayb a trip to a "walk in centre" would b appropiate

Fem, much much sympathy - quite possibly it is the antibiotics. Most of the womenfolk in my family get bad cases of thrush when on antibiotics, to the point where our docs now prescribe medication for that at same time as antibiotics.
I know this won't help you at mo, but highly likely the thrush will clear up when you stop the antibiotics.
Hope it eases.
