Passions is not wheelchair friendly at all , you have to go up a set of stairs to get in and once you are inside there are a few steps leading down into the lounge and play rooms area.
I wouldn't advise it at all if you use a wheelchair.
That's actually a very good point  I can't think of ANY club that I've been to, and that's probably about 7 or 8 (though never been to Passion), that is wheelchair friendly at all. They are all either up stairs to get in, or the play rooms are up- or downstairs.
I wonder how swinging clubs might be affected by the Disability Act (can't remember the exact name) -- I'm assuming they are subject to the same kinds of laws that shops, banks and the like are?????
Any legal eagles in who would know????
I'm no legal eagle and have never been to a club so hold my hand up to say I honestly dont know where Swinging clubs stand in regard to the DDA
a good contact for any questions might be the Laydig Trust
(mods please edit if this is not allowed) - email them at
Outsiders is the registered charity suppported by Leydig. More general info can be found here: It doesnt give any specific info about 'clubs', but may be worth a call.
hope this helps. x
I seem to remember someone posting about this before. I don't think that they are subject to the same laws because they are usually private members clubs, or something along those lines.
swinging clubs would not classify due to the private members approach.
they could also get round it by the DDA wording which is that companies must do all they can within sensible financial constraints to make suitable access.
a club that is on 2 floors could always argue that a 20k lift for 1 wheelchair user isnt 'sensible financial constraints'.
just dont look for improvements in london,
they call out of the dda for any building over 30 years old saying it would effect the atmos of the building.....so places like theatres and stuff are terrible.
Selecta is pretty much all on one level once you are in the building.
I was thinking Xanadu too.
One Note:
Infusion is a fantastic club from what we can gather, but as its mainly water-based and have lots of stairs its maybe not catered for the less able of us.
Only advice we could give to anyone wishing for information is to check the clubs section of the site and get various phone numbers and call them directly - they may be able to allocate different changing areas or make some special arrangements in advance of your visit.
Worth a try!
