This may be a bit of an odd topic to post in a Swingers forum but I'm curious as to how others think or feel.
Do you have anything that you are truly passionate about?
Allow me to elaborate....
There are things that I enjoy doing but I can take it or leave it. For example, I play & watch sports (footy, golf, squash) but am not overly passionate about it. If I miss a game, so what! The same with my work.....I enjoy my job but woudl have no issues with jacking it in to try something else, but at the same time there's nothing else that I would 'love' to try. sad
When I was younger I used to be into all sorts. Would hate missing football (both playing & watching), going into sulks for days. So whats changed? Is it and age thing now that I'm the wrong side of 30?
confused :violin:
I am extremely pasionate about the British Red Cross as anyone who knows me will testify too,
I am proud to be a member of the organisation and proud of the work that it does both here and overseas.
I try my hardest to stick to the fundamental principles that the society does everything by.
I am so paaionate about it that next month I will be abseiling 150ft down the side of a building in order to raise funds.
I organise my socail life around my first aid duties - hence us not being able to play or get to munches etc very much in the summer months because its our busiest time.
The only thing that takes precedence over Red Cross for me is my wonderful husband who supports me in all that I do for them.
No I can't think of anything that I am particularly passionate about, at least not in the sense that you mean. Obviously I have a strong bond and love for my immediate family, but beyond that I have nothing that I can honestly say is a complete passion, something that I couldn't miss or something that I would campaign about.
It may well be that the life I choose to live, which is fairly insular, for instance, I don't watch television, nor read newspapers etc, so have little idea whats going on in the world, means that nothing stir's any passions within me that might be there if I was better informed, dunno but then I kinda like it that way.
In my case its pcs and the computer engineer course Im on.
Ive been building pcs for friends and family for about 6 yrs as a bit of a hobbie and saveing them some money by cutting out the middle man,
But a few months ago I was bored in my deadend job and thought its time to get my act together and do something worth while in life, as well as getting myself a proper career.
Ive always been interested im computers and technology as a whole but when I study the time goes so quickly as I get so rapped up in it that time just seems to fly!
I wonder how many geek comments Im going to get now! lol
Strangely enough I've been described as a passionate person very recently.
There are quite a few things about which I feel strongly. One topical one is fair play and people not taking liberties with other people's liberties.
I can honestly say its my wife I am most passionate about. I can turn my back on everything in my life except her.

And of course skimpy, my sexy partner :D

But i do seem to be having trouble staying off these forums recently mad

is there anything you do like? :?
Life is a tabula rasa, onto which we write up out life choices and outcomes. My passion is enabling other people to realise that! biggrin

Oh yeh, there's loadsa things I like just nothing that I couldn't easily give up. There's nothing that I could try to turn into work as Sexyfella is doing.
Although I'm quite partial to a cracking good blow job if you're interested?? wink
Isn't passion one of many things which are usually quite repressed in the UK?

My horses......
I spend hours every day.... mucking out, scrubbing water and feed buckets, making up feeds and haynets, checking them over for lumps and bumps, rugging up, taking off rugs, looking round the paddocks for anything they could harm themselves on.. checking the electric fences... removing poisonous weeds from the fields... cleaning the horses themselves and then all the saddlery.... checking stitching etc... packing show stuff into the required boxes... one for each horse.. going through registration papers to see that they're all up to date... entering competitions, checking the judges carefully to see where we have the best chances of success... exercising three horses daily...
Then on the day of the show.. getting up early in order that they can have their breakfasts well in advance of travelling, packing the lorry, fitting all the travelling kit onto the horses, plaiting up where required.... and then driving to the show.... warming up, compteting and travelling home... when it all starts again...
Not so much a hobby...... as a way of life for me...... and i wouldn't change it...

Horses eh! you kept that quiet
I must say, i love my work, nothing is the same from day to day which is all part of the spice of life.
also my biggest love is rugby, having played it all my life and are now at a age where I coach more than play, it's great to see kids on a Sunday morning running around the field, from the age of 5 to 19 playing the sport in which we are world champions. RUGBY

<hijack> and you didnt mention this before because.....  :inlove: .<end hijack>
I am passionate about anything that interests me... but if I don't find something interesting then I am all too quick to walk away from it. For me its important to get really into the things that I do, take them seriously and try really hard... but then I am a perfectionist... which has its drawbacks at times.
Footie-love it like nothing else.
Am addicted to the feelings it evokes.I can go from hysterical celebrating to feeling like crap in the space of 90 mins.
Never miss a game biggrin
my one true passion in life....... the only thing i truly look forward to every single morning, the thing that can make me smile, laugh, cry and swear. The only thing i would insist on being with me if i were to be stranded on a desert island.......
My wife and 3 lovely daughters.
