As you may know I've had a really really sore throat all week :cry: which has been very husky - that made me really really really grumpy too.
Today I stumbled across the perfect remedy for the sore throat AND my grumpiness...

Love Haagen-Dazs Strawberry ice cream too - but they only make that in small pots
No bluddy good to anyone, just get into the rhythm of eating it and it's all gone :shock:
Although at the moment I'm going through a Tiger Prawn phase 8-) Warmed through and with garlic n blue cheese dip mmmmmmmmm gorgeous, and now gonna have to go to bluddy Tescos cos run out of prawns and need a plateful NOW!! 8-)

The marshmallows the doctor prescribed (honest :shock: ) only lasted about 5 minutes
but the ice cream was perfect. Eat it in two lots!! I don't eat fish Missy - so you can have my share of the prawns.

Ice cream works wonders, the doc recommended it to me when I saw her on wednesday. I'm well stocked up on ice cream (all haagen daaz of course), vanilla, baileys, praline, strawberry cheese cake, toffee, belgian chocolate. Mmmmmmm.
Gargling with dispirin is also good.
The doc told me that gargling with salt water is also good, but I've not tried it as it doesn't sound too pleasent.

My doc told me the same the daft twat, I'm nigh on 60 miles from the bloody sea, hour and three quarters it took me to get there plus £12 petrol...next time I'm sticking with strepsils...it will be cheaper and quicker!

jeebus.I started getting a sore throat last saturday, thought I was coming down with a cold. Started dosing myself up. Sunday night I couldn't sleep the pain was so bad. By Wednesday morning (no sleep since sundeay) I was suspicious about the symptoms. By this time I could only swallow fluids and only then very painfully. Talking was a big strain, I could hardly open my mouth. Doc diagnosed tonsillitis (I'd not had if for 20 years or so), gave me some penecillin. That was Wednesday. Last night was the first night I actually got any sleep, and I can now actually swallow things without too much effort or pain (so much so that I'm celebrating by ordering in a pizza this evening
), still have very restricted mouth movement though.And for me that's pretty mild. Had it a fair amount as a kid, enough for my parents to ask the doctor to remove my tonsils (they refused, obviously, they didn't think I was suffering enough to justify the trauma of removal (they had a point, too, I know people who suffered far worse than me!)).
