Whilst I was nailing down the corners of my bedroom carpet- long story- rolleyes it hit home just how much different the personalities of myself & Mr W are.
He stresses if anything he does is less than perfect, whilst my attitude is "if theres going to be a feck off great big wardrobe on top of the nail, who TF will know?"
I only become a perfectionist when it comes to two areas, any academic work has to be the best I can possibly produce. The other area I will leave to you imagination.
Which camp do you fall into? Are you a perfectionist, or a "couldn't give a feck" type? Is your partner the same, or the complete opposite, and how does it affect you?
Mrs Kiss and I are both total perfectionists, but in differing ways. It does lead to some arguments.
I am a perfectionist when it comes to arranging my book/cd collection, doing DIY, gardening or decorating etc and couldn't care less about certain other things.
Whereas Mrs Kiss gets annoyed if the dinner doesn't look perfect on the plate or the tea towels aren't pressed etc.

ditto
Depends what it is
If I need a crisp white blouse, then i take the time to iron one, but if its a pair of jeans for work or socks and undies that no one will see, then i dont bother
err both really,
at work i like to do a proper job but at home it depends on what it is for.
hmm talk about sitting on the fence rolleyes
I'm a total perfectionist....i like things the best they can be. I once submitted a 200 page assignment because i wanted it to be perfect, we told to submit a minimum of 20 pages. I alphabatise all my dvds, cds and games.....everything has to be in order.
I even like my laptop on the desk at a certain angle.

Yep ditto here too! lol
I'm a perfectionist! I used to be much worse but I'm trying hard to relax more and just go with the flow! Causes much less stress that way lol

Well my daughter calls me a 'neat freak' but then, she's just a messy teenage girl.
My stock cupboard at school is exceptionally tidy and very well organised - other teachers have been brought to look at it by my TA. redface
Kitchen cupboards - also very organised.
Wardrobe and drawers - organised by type, length, 'best' or 'everyday'.
I ama neat freak, aren't I? confused surprisedops:

my business partner has a few ocd's drives me mad at times but thats not to mean i make light of it. To some it can be a real problem, his are mostly just annoying habits, he HAS to cook a sunday roast regardless of if hes had one at his parents house he just cooks another one. If he does'nt it puts his whole following week out of kilter which makes my life difficult dunno
I'm a perfectionist... anally so! I think sometimes I verge on OCD with some things. My mum always tells us that if a job is worth doing it's worth doing right, hence my sig! lol
I'm getting better with age though and I guess some things are more important. My CD's are no longer in alphabetical order but there are certain things that I'll never change, i.e. there is only one way to hang a loo roll!
When I'm at work I like things to be done right, my writing is pretty neat and when I get my creative head on I'm a complete perfectionist. If it's not right I start again whether it be making cards or sewing something. Sad but true!
Thats odd. Im a "recovering" OCD sufferer- I pretty much cured myself. But if I see things looking too organised- I ruffle them up!
Guess I'm just weirder than most! lol
I can't answer this until I have had my first appointment with a cognitive behavioral therapist next month :gagged: I might have some idea of why I'm such a control freak then :confused2:
