omg, how many 'really's' ????? lol
The Mirena coil didn't work for me - I know a few women who have not liked it. However, there are a few on here who have it and think it's great!
Depo worked for me in the fact that I didn't have any periods while I was still having the jabs... but I came off it and got pregnant within 6 weeks of my injection due date even though it's supposed to take an eternity for your body to return to normal
Since had the snip because being mrs fertile scares the heebie jeebies out of me and I'd have it all whipped out if they'd let me.
Have to say lately my periods are a bit all over the shop... am considering going to the docs but don't know if they'd put me on the pill to even things out or not
Just as a completely pointless aside, I'm not that regular so it comes in handy that I always dream that I've started my period the night before I do. It happens every month. I have no idea how that works... weird!
my xwife was a bitch week before period, she knew she was doing it but could not stop her she, she lost few friends over it, then when period came she was in bad pain, i used to say its god paying you back for being a bitch,
my new G/F is good as gold and only has period for 3-4 days,, happy days
well mrs f totally goes soppy and sex mad when its that time  does suffer from pain and takes diclofenac due to endometriosis and they only thing to help.
The risk of getting infections is increased with the use of any coil, but more so within the first 6 weeks of insertion.
Heres a quick snippet that i think is usefull...
The Mirena coil system is designed to minimise the risk of infection, but there is still a slight risk of developing a pelvic infection while using the coil, particularly in the first 3 weeks after insertion. Such infections are usually related to sexually transmitted diseases, and you are more likely to develop an infection if you or your partner has several sexual partners. Overall, about 1.5% of women will develop an infection with 5 years use of the coil. You can reduce your risk of developing an infection by using a condom when having sex with anybody other than your long-term sexual partner.
If you develop a pelvic infection, it must be treated promptly. Contact your doctor immediately if you begin experiencing persistent lower abdominal pain, fever, pain with intercourse or abnormal bleeding as these symptoms may indicate a pelvic infection.
If you develop a pelvic infection, the coil should be removed.
So as always condoms are a essential use with multiple partners
Nicky
Well you learn something new every day, thanks Nicky
