Only problem with that for me Judy, is that I've totally flucked up the battery on my laptop.
Oh - and I did get a bollocking for not answering someone on , for leaving it logged on while I went in the bath

Tisk.....you should'nt have taken 3 hrs in the tub after saying be back in a mo.....

That only happens when I have someone to join me wink
Or someone to wash my back.
Or someone keeps bringing more wine.
Or if I'm reallychilling out.
Or if I fall alseep.
Or . . . . . . . . .
I think you might have a point there honeyriderx redface

I often wonder how many of us are permanently logged on to the Swinging heaven server 24/7. In fact some of us are logged onto several servers at once and just stay there, mainly because it’s easier and saves time logging in and out. Many of us on Broadband never need to log off if we don’t want to; my PC is usually running 24/7 and stays that way unless I go away for more than an overnight stay. Before I go to bed I just clear the temp internet files then let all the scan software run on its own, I set it going and then off to bed. When I get up it’s checked for viruses and spy-ware and is ready to go again. It just goes into hibernate mode overnight and a touch of the keyboard and or mouse will fire it into life. I’m not sure if we should do this or not, it’s a habit I got into from work, they never switch off any of the PCs unless the system goes down or for PC maintenance. How many others do this and leave themselves logged in?
Judy

I have 3 systems myself, my file system which downloads my movies for me smile and goes of for 15 mins a week, my chat/browsing system (this old cranky job which needs a reboot every 3-4 hours) and my converter system which converts downloaded movies into dvd and never goes off wink, so I cant say if its right or wrong
if it dont kill, leave is what I say :)
Damn to dial up........can't wait until we get broadband in our area!
my pc is on 24/7 as it monitors several fire alarm systems in properties we look after, but don't usally leave it logged in whatever tickles your fancy
