Permanent webcams

Okay, I'm curious. Anyone here ever had a permanently-on webcam - not the kind that you turn on late at night for an erotic MSN session or whatever, but the kind that sits in the corner, silently displaying your entire life (in that room) to the world, 24/7?

Actually, I was thinking about it - not in a swinging notion but for my personal website. Might be a cool addition!
Of course, the reason I probably won't do it is that I wouldn't want the folks on that website to see me with my pants down - it's all rather innocent stuff. Plus, I don't actually own a webcam...

Reese and I did this when we were on opposite sides of the atlantic. There were times when my cat was sitting on the keyboard as I slept and when I woke up the the morning there was:

Peter, get off! Peter! Stop that!! - from Reese
on my messenger window.

nope ive never had a permanent webcam on
but i have watched ones in peoples homes so intresting but then i liked big brother to
one i went on you could turn his electric appliances on and off ..
i used to like watching him jump with fright when we turned on his desk side lamp

I did a 24Hour Webcam once for charity (Don't ask Im in IT and they thought it would be a good way to make money) My Company called it Big Sister and hosted it on their website, and there were 3 of us that had to stay in the office for 24 hours, thats the closest I've come.

I've often got my cam running but only showing to my best friend. She follows me to the kitchen sometimes, to the bedroom where I can show her any new outfits I have brought. We've even done the ironing while both on cam lol

It was even on while I've was painting the windowsil once.
I love being able to share things this way with her but don't know how I would feel about anyone and everyone being able to peep and have no clue who was watching confused

Some years ago a friend of mine left his webcam on in his front room so he could keep an eye on his newly-rescued dog while he was at work. Just making sure the dog wasn't too distressed at being left alone. Then one bright spark discovered that phoning the dog made it get up from its slumbers and walk around barking till the phone stopped ringing, when the dog would yawn, lie back down and go back to sleep.
The dog cam got quite a following amongst our group of friends. Word spread till finally so many people were logging on, his broadband couldn't cope with the bandwidth requirements and he reluctantly shut it down......
