Seeing as there are loads of clubs springing up recently heres another open to one and all.
All about the joys of motoring (Please no bikes or caravaners) Four wheel only.
Lets start the ball rolling with a question money is no object you are allowed one car and one car only one car to do the school run and the same car to take out for a blast on a sunday afternoon what would it be.....
Mine would without doubt be a Aston Martin DB9 I know it would be a squeeze in the back for the little uns but hey we dont have any so I dont have to worry about it.

Druel.........
The Hillman Imp . (aka The Fanny Magnet)

Finished in turd brown metallic with chrome overiders and sidepanel mouldings. As with the less well regarded Porsche, the engine resides in the rear.
Note the fabric full sized 'moon roof' , a desirable extra on this model .

FFS how'd you fit 6 kids in the back of that.
It would have to be a top of the range Merc for me. I'm crap at cars so I can't quote models etc Maybe a BMW M3 eh?

You could fit a couple of malnourished 8 year olds in the back of a DB9 no drama and lets face it after shelling out the 100 odd grand for that baby your family are gonna starve lol
Chris
lol
Just to be a sad git (and see if this photo malarky works)
.
Or should this be in "Lorry Drivers 2" ?????
lol

I dont have the words to explain (sigh )

Speaking as a family man with three children, all of whom are growing very fast.
Ours would have to be a New Discovery,we could use it in the week to take the kids to school and go off roading the weekends!!! There is also the ability to fold the back seats down for some spontaneous outdoor fun!!!!. (without the kids obviously)

Don't you think some of today's technology takes out a little of the fun and skill of pleasure motoring?
(Maintaining road safety and consideration of other road users??)

Hey Cops!!!!!!!! My first car was a Hillman Imp!!!!!!!!!!
Second was a Singer Chamois Coupe (fastback Imp with a Vinyl roof and Walnut dash).
Third was a Mini Cooper S!
I love the cars in James Bond
The Vanquish in the last film was fab.
I know that the model in the film doesnt exist - with its cloaking device but love them all the same
This would be my dream car:

I know it only does 55mph downhill with the wind behind it, but you can't deny that the MkII just looks SO damned cool!
GT Jetstream - alloy frame - front suspension - 21 gears...
Oh CARS!!! Sorry.
would have to be a Lamboughini Diablo for me ..... the metallic purple one though.
Ive seen em Calista hun , dont touch em , the door hinges go all wonky as soon as you get em out the showroom . One i saw had the doors virtually hanging off at a right weird angle.
Well I could always tell from that immaculate Jo Lumley type bob cut in your profile that you were a person of taste Jude . A thing of beauty is a joy forever , although I dhave to say that given the choice id have mine in primrose yellow , with black leather piped to match . N.B Will accept a red one if its going .

That's okay .. round our way there are so many speed bumps I could balance the car on top of one, no problem. lol
Well, for comfort I'd have to go for a long wheelbase Maybach - the back seats recline flat :-)
... and you could always sell it and live off the proceeds for the rest of your life.
I'm baised against Jaguars, having owned an XJ-S, which nearly bankrupted me with repair bills.
The main reason I got it was that a young lady friend (who was well beyond my league) had mentioned that she always wanted to be taken on the bonnet of an E-Type or XJ-S, and I wasn't likely to get into her knickers any other way.
Turned out she was a crap shag, and we did about £250 damage to the car.

how I miss mine
