Quite like rats, used to own one when I was younger. Very friendly but used to steal my vodka
Don't mind spiders, I have loads of big ones (about 2 inch across) in my house. They don't bother me unless they start to run towards me.
Can't really deal with snakes. I can handle a friends snakes for a couple of minutes at a time before getting panicy and having to get someone to take them off me.
Don't mind snakes as long as they don't mind me - rats are quite cute as long as they're not of the pink-eyed variety. Don't like spiders.
Absolutely terrified of cockroaches.... and I think I know where that phobia comes from. When I was about six, I was playing hide-and-seek, and hiding in a dark garage, and a cockroach ran up my leg - I panicked like mad, cried for an hour, and lost the game. mad
I have two rats, Tommy and Toby.....they are gorgeous and getting rather big now
They are lovely and friendly and sit on my shoulder sniffing my ears, which drives me mad...it tickles so much!! confused
it seems that the once feared rat is now a popular pet smile
and 1 of the nicest small animals there are.....
so i think the concencus would be amongst those who have posted .......were all big tough cookies....apart from an earwig and spider phobia :)

Spiders. Hate the fuckers. They have no use now humanity's invented the rolled up newspaper.

ermmm actually they have a very good use, the eat flies who throw up on your food and spread all kinds of gearms, yet noone dislikes flies dunno
I'm with you NN. I absolutely detest flies. They really serve no useful purpose. Spiders rock.
Basket Case
no one's said Daddy Long Legs yet! - that usually quite a popular one...
mine is millipedes - those big black mother :censored: ers (shivers at thought)
earwigs & ants, especially if there's loads of em, full on makes my skin crawl that does :uhoh:

I'm not too bothered by rats, though I've never seen their attraction as pets.
Similarly, I tend to be facinated by invertebrates of all varieties, rather than scared of them.
I don't like heights though.
Seriously, I really don't like heights. I get vertigo if I see somebody else going up a ladder FFS!

you should go to portland bill
when we were kids we used to go there right on the tip is a rock you can stand on with toes hanging over edge & at least 60 feet drop onto rocks below
the wind always blows straight onto the rock & holds you up as you lean out
the wind slows a little now & then causing you to fall forward an inch or two which feels like a foot confused it always picks up again though smile
makes your heart race & know your still alive biggrin
Birds omg even typing that word has taken me two days to do had to type it with my eyes closed.
Love snakes and spiders dont bother me ( do they Kazbbw )
But a featherd thing ( sorry couldnt bring myself to type the word again) no fecking way dirty flying at your head them beaks....... back in a moment going to be sick.......
ok i am fine now even my mother bought a budgie so i couldnt go visit her lmoa flipa
flies.....???? so i guess no 1 ever built a maggot trap (for angling)
thick plastic bag left open at the yop and holes at the bottom and drop in something thats deaded.......
place a bucket under the bqg with sawdust in ....when the flies lay their eggs the maggots drop out through the wholes when they hatch.....
but i think...going back to topic ...flies are more of a nuisace than a phobia.....and of course i suppose some here know how the aforementioned anglers warm them up to make em wriggle smile
really really scared of things with wings.... birds, moths, butterflies, ladybirds, wasps, bees, flies daddy long legs etc... am shuddering at the thought... just can't cope if I'm in the same room as a winged thing :scared:
I'm not too keen on spiders either... but at least I can cope with "dealing" with them...
I only really have one phobia...........heights :scared:
I dont mind rats.........snakes.......even spiders I can just about cope with :undecided: ..........
but ask me to climb a big ladder or go on a cable car or big wheel...etc. :uhoh: bolt

I don't mind rats, reptiles, spiders, insects or anything that walks, flies or crawls.
My phobia's are heights and dark, enclosed spaces.

Strange you should mention that, I don't like birds either. Although it's the bigger ones that bother me, in particular sea gulls.
Have no problem with insects of any kind (I'm always the one that picks them up & moves them).
I don't think I have any fears that are completely irrational. There are certain tunes from the late 1970's that send an icy finger of dread down my spine, but that's just a legacy of some painfully embarassing discos during my adolescence biggrin!
I do have an irrational revulsion for balloons. Ugh, horrible texture.

I bloody well hope not..................I've been catching them in my hands for years to save them from the cats biggrin
are they poisonous???
depends which you mean....crane flies(winged daddy long legs) arare not as they are not in the class arachnae...
the arachnae version of this (the 1s without wings) are venomous as are all arachnids....
though they are classed as "uncate" (very small fangs) and muscular composition is very weak
so therefore in laymans terms a daddy long legs does not have the power or the fangs to bite you....
as for the strength of the venom......pholcid venom has never (as far as im aware) been tested on humans as it would have to be put directly into the bloodstream.....
and i dont think any 1 from this forum would want to try milking the bloody things anyway smile
Thanx, heard that in so many conversations and never known whether my leg was being pulled now I know,
learning is fun
but that said...............
i could be pulling your leg   biggrin :D :D
U have an honest face so I'll believe u .........but mum did say not to trust strangers
erm ...the avitar is not a good likeness of me.....
it does have a striking resemblance to 1 of my terriers though smile
