Phone sex, bad or sad...?

I'm just curious about peoples views on phone sex.
For a lot of people its just not for them, and certainly it is no substitute for the real thing, but some people do "get" it, and with a little imagination and a lot of talk it can take you places you wouldn't necessarily reach alone.
Also it can be a way of exploring a fantasy, or a persona, that you perhaps wouldn't want to try, or to be, in real life.
And lets face it, it must be the ultimate in safe sex! biggrin

I think its one of those things people either really enjoy, or really can't see the point.
What do you think?

When MorbiusUK and I got together we participated regularly in phone sex and found it thrilling ....
however, we haven't done so for several years and don't have the inclination.
I doubt I ever could with another man as it just doesn't seem thrilling any more dunno

The thrill for me was turning him on so much at work (he worked nights permanently) that he'd come home for his break or in the morning and finish the job himself :twisted:

Before I was able to move from America to the UK, that's about all Vix & I had to work with...well, that and keyboard sex. Took us a while after we'd moved in together to accept that we could shag without having a computer on either side of the bed! :mrgreen: rolleyes

Phone sex can be great fun with the right person. it allows both to act out fantasies that they may or may not be able to attain physically for whatever reason, ie distance. I have enjoyed it with several ladies from here, some were planned and some just happened. One such time was when chatting to a lady from here. She wanted to know what I had done recently and during me telling her I realised she was playing with herself! Great - but more so in that we hadn't planned it. :twisted:

i fond it quite difficult to get into "phone sex" for the sake of it with anonymous people, mainly cos i used to work on a chatline and found it boring as hell!
i have to admit though, i DO enjoy talking over things i have done or are going to do with people who are established sexual partners already.

But yeah, if you've done it professionally I could see how it could be a drag!
I suppose the difference would be that with someone you're talking to for fun it would be less about keeping them on the line and more about getting pleasure from the experience youreself, plus you wouldn't be about to repeat the process over and over which I guess you would on a chatline?

Done it a couple of times. The orgasm can be very intense because the mind is stimulated more...? I can understand the needs of some who find it good, but think nothing beats the real thing. many mock it, but having someone at the other end you know can be so much fun! It is like anything else...unless you try you dont know or can say for sure it is good or bad?

There are some big advantages to cyber and phonesex:
1) The way the both people look, and dress is up to your imagination
2) You can narrate out the boring or repetitive bits "I keep on doing this to you for 15 mintues, untill you say..."
3) it only requires one of the parties to be alone and able to play with themelves - the other can be stuck in the office.
4) You can safely go beyond all your real-life limits to explore things you are unsure about (or are even physicalyl impossible/illegal) in real life.

still doubt i would get anything out of it, unless its someone who knows me intimately and knws what i like.. and we have common experiences to reminiss over....... its not gonna do anything for me.

That's true too. I used to think I was submissive by nature, but talking things through on the phone with me "playing Domme" convinced me it would be worth a try in real life. I'm not sure I'd have fancied trying it without using the safety of a phone the first time.

Phone sex is great when you are apart from your loved one.
You know what she or he likes, and because you are away form each other the imagination comes into play. It's very easy to imagine kissing touching feeling, because you have been there and know what it feels like.
I have had lots of phone sex, it gets even better when eventually you meet.
Some people are shy when face to face, but when on the phone inihbitions seem to vanish for whatever reason.
I agree it's not everyones cup of tea but it works for me.

Think it works cos you can be who you want to be (in fantasy) and do all the things you - perhaps - can't tell your partner about cos he/she would be shocked. It frees the mind from social restrictions and allows that movement between reality and fantasy which is normally kept inside the mind. Acts which one would normally not do but fantasise about are now readily available and 'do-able' and, for me, work towards an amazing experience which is different to real sex, but not inferior.
Off to daydream - it's third on the list after real sex and phone sex... lol

Whenever fella goes away on business we have fone sex... it turns us both o n soo much and the moment he gets back through the door we're all over each other. Its great sending texts as welll.. especially if they are somewhere where they cant do anything about it. wink
