Photo Ads - can't see them!!??

BEFORE im shot down in flames.... I know.. I've seen the help pages and the comment that some users behind a firewall typically those using zonealarm may not be able to view the photos in the Ads section.
I for on can't view them because I have a firewall, pop-up blocker etc... and I wouldn;t really want to lower my security just so that I could see them. If you can see them.. then you might want to question the security of your PC. Maybe there's a way to view them and have decent net security. If so I would like to know.
So my real question is:
Do other people experience this problem?
If so: can something be done about it (I know!! SH is a voluntary site!! I know!! your very busy.. just a request feel free to ignore it)
If its just me: then well I jjust got to live with it in my sad pictureless world boo hoohoo ho hoo sad

Are you able to specify SH as a trusted site?

I'm firewalled and I can see them. I think someone did mention this problem once before.... can't remember what the solution was though confused

That'll be the shooting down in flames thiing I was talking about.
Done the search thing. Can't find any previous posts that help. As i said, i've read the help pages I know it's the firewall but I want to keep the firewall so how do I have my cake and eat it?

This problem has now been reported a number of times, and we've finally found out why. Some software is blocking them because they use a 'pop-up style' action when you click on them, in order to show you the bigger picture. Zone Alarm is one culprit (although there may be others). For Zone Alarm, you need to disable the banner/pop-up blocker bit for our site (allow www.swingingheaven.co.uk and photos.swingingheaven.co.uk) and hey presto, you can see them again.

Tried adding the two host names as trusted sites but it still don't seem to work. Hmmm maybe it's because im using mozilla firefox??? hmm i'lll try explorer.

should be ok in firefox. i've got all ads and popups blocked, but the pics still pop up fine in mine. i switched firewall from zone alarm to outpost cos za can do odd stuff with some sites.

Perhaps you have hit the Ocular download limit. - The one that stops you from going blind looking at too many mucky pictures.

I have Zone Alarm & use Mozilla Firefox which blocks popups, but I have no problem in viewing the adverts. And I'm reasonably confident that my system is secure.

I use zone alarm and it doesnt cause me any problems

Did you have to make any configuration changes in zone alarm or mozilla?

I use Mozilla Firefox and I didn't change anything, I can see photo ads OK.

To see photos when using Zone Alarm. Go to Privacy tab then set Ad Blocking to medium. It just worked for me lol

It's only in Zone Alarm Pro. You don't get a privacy tab in the free version. That'll be why I can't find it. Thanks for the advice. If anyone has changed setting in the free versions that has got it working or can suggest an alternative I would love to hear it.
