Photo ads

One of my less fun parts of being a Mod is having to check the stuff in the photo ads system, especially when they get reported (keep at it guys!). What I find striking is the increase in ads saying something along the lines of " don't reply unless you send a full face pic of yourself and a contact telephone number ".... but the person or couple advertising don't have a picture of themselves up for inspection or have one of their less attractive body parts.
WHY would ANYONE send a total stranger, or a total nutter, a full faced picture of themselves? I can't fathom it out at all.
So, my question is... has anyone ever done that? Did it work out OK?

Ive been ask to send face pics by people who have no pics at all on their profile.
If you dont have any you shouldnt ask for any .
Apart from that ive not other moans about this site .

The answer to your question is NO.
But the other line which makes us laugh is "send us a picture of yourselves and if we like you enough we'll get back to you" So we're entering a beauty contest then? No thanks!! We're in this for fun, not as competitiors!!

I have sent pictures to people when I first joined the site. I quickly learnt that they all stopped talking to me once they'd been sent. (Co-incidence?) dunno

Sadly now, I've been here too long and been to more munches and socials than you can shake a stick at, so its usually too late and the people I talk to know what I look like.
I'm sure they only come back to talk to me to see if I will contribute to their counselling bill confused

I don't send face pics to someone who has no info/pics on their profile/ad, but then you can see my face on my profile pic, so there is no need too biggrin

No I haven't done that Jags. Not keen on sending out my pics at all but I haven been known to use my cam in the chatrooms confused

we use to send out pics,but got our fingers burnt on other sites,now we don't send any pics out,well apart from our face pics and only our faces....there's enough on our profile if they aren't happy with them then we ain't gonna meet,so no need to send more pics out...

I only show my face pic on msn and not on here. There have been a couple of times I've been on cam in the forum chatroom and the poor bastards who witnessed that are still in therapy rolleyes

I have to say that this is something that niggles me!
When an advert demands that I send pictures but that person has no picture(s) or their profile.
Demands that they will only respond to profiles that have been filled in but have a blank profile themsleves.
Says that only profiles with face pictures will be acceptable.
Suggests that only people who send a phone number with their reply will be taken seriously. :shock:
Etc etc etc etc etc....
At the end of the day I do look at these adverts and think flipa

:kick: BUT I simply don't respond to them and have a little giggle to myself and think "good luck!" lol

I wouldn't ask anyone else to do anything I wasn't happy doing myself - in the adverts section or otherwise!
