Good thread and that rose pic is fabulous - it's inspiring me to pick up the camera again as not done much in ages. Need to replace the film slr body with a digi one though. Thinking of going for the Canon 40D as a lot of people I know, use that one and means I can use my existing lens'
(btw, is that a pubic hair on the rose? ;-))
Great selective focus on the stamen of the flower Winchwench lol
Glad this thread is still alive biggrin
Was bored this weekend, so got out snapping. We were not the only ones enjoying the sun...
Suffolk-cpl ... that's a beautiful shot.

Thanks very much :thrilled:
But I think it's the bee who should be thanked for being brave enough to ignore my lens and carry on with the busy life of pollinating our plants :P

Sorry for poor etiquette of bumping my own thread, but only on a swinging site would you get this comment.....cracked me up! And, no it wasn't, I'm an amateur and didn't even spot it until it popped up on the big screen. redface
We've got the Canon EOS-40D - this was taken with an EF60mm f/2.8 macro lens. I'm only starting out, Harry is the camera expert, but the Canon rocks!
This is a lovely shot......I wish it had stayed anywhere near still enough in my garden recently so I could get a bit of practice with the macro lens.

Here is another wee shot from me...not very artistic but sexy as hell to a biker...
Yep, sexy as hell to a pocket rocket owner :P
Here is another early morning shot.
Where I was the only thing to "rise" that morning redface

If anyone here want's to colaborate on any photo projects, let us know... A sort of swingers photo club lol

I decided to go for the 40D as well in the end as I prefer the more solid construction of the body over the 450D which has very favourable reviews but is constructed of plastic. I've always had Canon SLRs so my existing lenses will work fine with it.
Just waiting for it to be delivered - was dispatched yesterday.
cool

The 40D is a very good camera, in fact I would say the best non pro model you can get.
I have the older 30D, but it is still a damn fine body. In fact the only thing I wish mine had was a sensor cleaner evil
So many people get hung up on mega pixels (the camera version of penis size) yet no nothing of how to get a good shot. A decent write speed, some fast FPS, a good iso range, and most of all, a comfortable camera you feel happy with, and some decent glass and a good eye is all you need....
rolleyes
Err, I've just re-read that, it's quite a bit... Still good choice sir...
