Anyway I've had me rant and hopefully some of will be taken on board.
But hey there's always some fucker who knows best............. aint life a treat night all.

I suppose what I want is a means of redress foremost.
Surely there's the option to PM/Mail the Admin team ?
This is supposedly an adult site, question? someone who's fifteen stes up a account and joins this site, can you tell me how you vet them?
As it's now a pay site, does the payment by credit card not ensure people are of age ? Or something such similar
I have been swinging for about four or maybe five years now am verified in several places and used to be a chat op on here in the good old days of mirc I know the rules and etiquette.
There are no means whatsoever in place on this site to . . . . . . . b) that they can be verified as genuine by other site members that's easily visible
( enabling cliquishness to prevail in forums/chatrooms etc)
That one's already been dismissed (again) tonight. But I don't see how your "status" of verification on other sites is relevant
I think that it's a very badly run site left to faceless individuals who do not want their actions to be questioned.
I would strongly disagree with most of what you say there. I think the site is, and in my time, has been well run. I do sometimes question the "accountability" aspect of some Mods' decisions/actions, but that for 4T to sort/ignore.
If this site is to succeed there needs to be some major input as to how it's run. There aren't the same problems on LS or D&M's
I don't know what LS and D&M's are. I'm guessing they're other swinging related websites ? What works elsewhere isn't guaranteed to work everywhere, or anywhere else.
All the time I see adverts with this member is currently banned from the site.......... whose decision?
Who do they respond to??
Or.. do they set another spoof email up and go again.
Again, there's the email to Admin

I was rather hoping so, but I think you may have shot yourself in the foot with the sarcasm and digs . . . . . . .

Where or how did I jump on him? The conversation this end went thus.................do you know who he is? No never heard of him...............ask if anyone else knows if he was an OP or not. So I did..........I was aware that what I posted could be seen as me shit stirring hence I felt the need to put the not jumping on you here bit' With regards to the debate on action shots I stated our views and was done with the thread however I was genuinely interested to find out if he was an ex op.
I'm aware of how you feel about "packs of wolves" and in all honesty I have been guilty of such in the past but I also agree with you and try and help as much as I can nowadays and as Kate has just pointed at times of late I have tried to help and have been hit byt the wolves my self as has she............Hence now we just spout bollox perv and have a laugh. .
Like I said us questioning his ex OP status was just our curiosity and no means a dig.

If this is so do you not think it fair to tell prospective members or are you happy with a moderators comment I shall quote here. this was copied from an advert I came across.
And I quote "MODERATOR REMOVED AD ASKING MEMBERS TO BREAK SITE CONTACT RULES. NEXT TIME WE REMOVE THE ACCOUNT. WE JUST LOVE TAKING YOUR MONEY AND THEN BANNING YOU WITH MADE UP REASONS AND NOT ALLOWING YOU ANY COME BACK. YOU ARE ALL MUGS ON HERE - YOU NEVER LEARN! KEEP SENDING US YOUR MONEY!!!! 13/07/2006 08:12"

mad :x :x That was NOT written by a Moderator FFS.
MODERATOR REMOVED AD ASKING MEMBERS TO BREAK SITE CONTACT RULES. NEXT TIME WE REMOVE THE ACCOUNT.

WAS written by a Moderator (probably me) and then the user added the rest - of course, the account got banned. The user had not responded to the kindly email reminding him/her that the posting of email addresses or telephone numbers was not allowed. It's usually the persistent offenders who get the Mod message - they think it's OK to write, 'can't contact me, not a full member and this site deletes contact details so send it backwards/with spaces inbetween/ful of ///'.
READ THE RULES - don't come in here and whine and moan. The site AUP says that a part of the non-acceptable behaviour is :
The posting of pictures on any part of the Swinging Heaven site that you do not own, or posting pictures that are fake, a joke or don't actually contain any part of you in them, or worse, that include a third party without their consent.

Quote by Hugh-Jerection
I personally have paid you people for sevices which we are still not receiving as advertised, I do think if you are going to moderate this site it should not be left to faceless individuals to express themselves in your companies name, without paid users having some form of redress.........

I've got a face - use it every day all day. It's so useful, I couldn't do without it.
Actually I've never heard of Nine either but I'll ask Fred today and get back to you!
AUP also says
"All members have to be over the age of consent to join this site (18+), even if you appear to under that age you may be removed from the site."

We've been on holiday but I'm back to take the piss out of your now :lol2:
Well we better put our two penn'orth in. We were banned for two weeks for posting photos which contained other people other than our selves. We were warned but perhaps somewhat naively we thought it was because someone could have been identified ,So we got banned were told because the photos contained a third party, with three different males in them . We did have the consent of all the people in the photos to print them on here but were never asked to prove this . So we got banned and didnt create a great fuss.
Now we see profiles and gallerys where there are obviously more than two people in the photos .
So can someone please inform us why there is no consistency regarding the posting of photos on this site?
I am also interested in the answer to that one Ronda. I had a photo repeatedly removed (with no note of explaination - a first in discourtesy for me and I run/mod several sites). Eventually discovered through the forum the reason for its removal (ta Jags), and re-read the terms relating to photos.
The photo in question had three sillouettes way off in the background that their mothers couldn't identitfy, but as I have PhotoShop and their existence wan't vital, I simply got rid of 'em. After all fair is fair and its in the rules.
...yet I see MANY profiles where either a: It's a singles profile, and more than one is present, b: A third party (not one of the members, couple or single) is in shot, even occassionally focal to shot and c: third party involved in saucy fun
Now I have no objection at all to these pics, but agree that there really should be a consitent approach..something which doesn't seem to be demonstrated currently.
Just my 2p.
If site admins are after advice on improvement:
1: Usability. Make the AUP, consequences and level of serious more known to new site users. Some valuable and potentially profitable members WILL be driven away by the current approach.
2: Contact. If someone does break a rule, contact them and explain the situation. Make a note (a shared user note system is used on most CMS). Sure, some people will ignore you...then you ban 'em, or suspend, or whatever. But many will thank you and are simply in need of a little guidance, not everyone knows this place inside out.
3: Consistent mod guidelines. Mods are there because human discretion is and always will be needed on any sort of social/networking site. However, they will be infinitely more respected and better disposed to fulfil their roles if they are working within a clearly defined framework of rules and protocols.
Ok, so maybe that was 3ps worth biggrin

Can you use the 'report this ad' function and they'll come back to the Mods for checking? Thanks.. and what a lovely polite post even though it was about you being banned! Pleasant change to see/hear/read that attitude - kiss

As above - can you use the 'report this photo' function for it to be zapped right to the heart of Mod central.
As for the site AUP - a user has to agree to abide by the AUP when signing up. If that user can't be bothered to actually read the rules before signing up/posting/loading then I have no sympathy with the ads/photos/posts being deleted or modified.
We can contact people and do, and we can make notes on their account, and do. However, we cannot contact everyone everytime a photo is deleted/post deleted/ad modified/ad removed etc, the number of members misusing the site is enormous and there aren't enough non-working hours in the day to give that level of service. Most people know why a picture has been deleted and don't load it again. A significant majority don't care about loading dozens of pics taken from internet website, internet cam site, porn channels, showing a neighbour sunbathing, showing group sex of indeterminate numbers of people; their wedding photos, their motorbike; their friends on a night out and one bloke last week showing him and his young (4?) sone - full faced and totally identifiable. That time I asked Admin to send the 'number 1 telling off' which is as close to a ban as possible.
cool
Unfortunate take Jags, I'm offering constructive criticism here, and have been involved in running sites with far larger user bases for seven years.
If that user can't be bothered to actually read the rules before signing up/posting/loading then I have no sympathy with the ads/photos/posts being deleted or modified

Many users will, when they sign up. But small print it often overlooked in everyday life, it is a shame to villify people for this. I'm talking effectively to business logc here, not modding. Give them only "one chance", no matter what the reason, and don't be at all surpised if they only offer the same and patronise an alternate site.

Then perhaps the approach needs to be reviewed. It takes precisely the same amount of time to hit a button that deletes a picture as it does to hit one that deletes it and fires of a pm/email with the reason why. If you have a drop down with options, perhaps a fraction longer. That simple matter of courtesy may do little/nothing to change persistant abusers behaviour, but it will encourage genuine users not to go somewhere they consider more "friendly".
Most people know why a picture has been deleted and don't load it again.

How can you be certain of that in the absence of communication?
Looking at the last paragraph I can see you are reaching an uncomfortable level of frustration with the pictures coming in, which to me crys out one thing: the message you want to get through isn't doing so to the right people. So, simple solutions are to make the AUP more prominent on initial upload, and have a drop-down next to the "delete" button in photo-admin with options as to the reason for deletion.
...right, gotta go do some paid work now ;)

I didn't say they only got one chance!

What makes you think we haven't got drop down email messages? Currently Admin have set them up for hidden email messages and telephone numbers. No doubt the other options are being discussed as we write. However, I repeat (oh, and paraphrase) a piece of simple courtesy from the user will do a lot to encourage the Mods approach to be more friendly!

No, the message IS getting through to the right people, the message is being totally lost/not bothered about by the others. That won't change even if you had the site AUP flashing at them each time an ad was posted or a picture loaded. In the olden days Mark even had another agreement thingy for each time an ad was modified or added - didn't change a thing. The frustration has come about cos more and more people think that the site AUP means everyone else but them, or they think that they just don't want to bother with that bit of it or they're being arsey!
On holiday from paid work and now doing unpaid work too!

i have recently had a photo removed, think it is one of nicky sharing a double ender with a fem in which no faces can be seen, although a 3rd party was involved no clue as to who it is is given...
as i said in an earlier post, and this must make it extremely tough to police this, how does a mod know who is who,
there is not one pic of me(mark) in our profile aprt from my willy in nicky, so i could in theory post a full frontal pic of a male having a bj off nicky and mods would not know the diff.
How do the mods decide on what is to be allowed an what isnt.
ps the pic that had been deleted has been on for months, why was it only removed now, several new pics have been added between now and then.

Like any site, they do the best that they can, there is the means for anybody to report a photo so if a member puts up a pic of someone else and it gets reported they risk getting banned.
Quote by markandnicky
we was not having a dig and as i said earlier i think the mods are doing fine with the pics but it must be difficult for them to judge who is who and whats right and wrong for pics on a swingers site.

Its not always black and white, also with the numbers involved it wouldn't be practical to make exceptions.

All I can say is not soon enough, the developers are behind but part of the balme is ours as we have been adding to the specification, I'd rather not give a completion date until I'm confident that it will be met.

Probably cos someone reported it. There's one chap who got his pics deleted and is now the doing a sterling job in reporting all the others - must take him all day.

If your pic was in your private gallery then probably it got deleted when one of us went into your account to log the little hiccup the other day! wink Perving is part of the perks of the job!!
Just to add a bit of fuel to the fire, as complete devil's advocate you understand.
Ive just done a quick scan of mods,' ops and admins pics
out of the 8 i looked at four had pictures on their profile
all four had pictures that were against site aup's
cartoon pics
car pics
3 people pics
how about leading by example

Sorry Jags but going to undo all the nice things you said about our post.
The question we asked was why isn't there any consistency regarding what is and what isnt acceptable regarding photos on this site. If more than one person decides what can or cannot stay on surely you must have set rules for all.
Or we will finish up like the world cup referees with no consistencey.

Didn't say that posting a pic of a car is against site AUP!
And if you find ANY pics which do break the site AUP then use the 'report this ad function' - works well!

Now how about going off to look at the the other 521, 032 member's pics and start reporting too, eh? Some people are doing a GREAT and FABBY job at reporting ads and photos and it keeps us in unpaid work for ages! If only more of you would do it then it would keep this site wonderful.
As for consistency - I am totally consistent - haven't missed a beat yet.
