In perusing the new phones on offer in various shops I realised something. You can get black phones, silver phones or PINK phones. Where are the white, the blue, the green, the brown, the gold, the bronze, the red? For crying out loud - the only colour other than black or silver is the one colour I wouldn't be seen dead carrying. While trying to avoid insulting anyone for whom pink is a favourite - it really is such a girly colour. And those who have met me will (I think) agree I am anything but girly. I's love a phone in bronze or steel-blue. But at least I'd like a choice. Rant over.
DD has a red phone...OH has had an orange phone in the past. Mine is "Blush Titanium"- poncey for Silvery...erm...something or other. The pics don't show the colour and it looks different depending on the light. It's a really odd colour to describe. Oh, and I've seen white phones too recently. Annnnd they do my phone in purple & black.
MrGald has a steel-blue Samsung slide, don't know the model offhand. His previous effort was a red Siemens. Plenty of colours out there if you're not fussy about make and model.
A few years ago I was guilty of choosing a phone simply because it was a gorgeous metallic red colour. Crap phone but it lasted about 18 months then I went back to a bog-standard and rather boring but entirely useful Nokia.
The classic phone was that first Motorola flip... the ones that came with the first free wknd calls!.. it lit up like a green man from outta space!!.. it just oozed radioactivity!! as you made calls and actually melted your brain at the same time!!
and failing! ;) Sorry. It's just a prresonal preference - can't do with pink equipment. Hats off to those that can carry it off. (Probably far too insecure about my femininity - wherever that went) LOL
I worked in the industry for a good number of years and was a buyer of phones from the manufacturers, as part of the deals I used to negotiate different colours and pink was always a top seller. I have an HTC phone myself (pees all over the i-phone for those who have one or are considering one) and I had a special see through cover made for me, so you can see all the guts of the phone. It helped due to my position obviously, but there are companies out there who do cases for all models of phones, you just need someone willing to take your old one off and put your new one on as it is a little tricky on some phones.

i remember those days of my good old Nokia 5110.. i must of wasted loads on various different designs.. then i'd go and shove it in a leather carry case which hid the new facia. carphonewarehouse tend to do phone tend to do some exclusive colours.. such as the Samsung tocco red. and other ones. not sure whats about at the mo though.
