I went to Egypt in '05 was gorgeous, went diving for the first time, and saw the pyramids.
I was quite disappointed over the size of the Sphyinx (wrong spelling but you know what I mean), I know its a massive feat of engineering etc etc, but it was smaller then I imagined!!!
Even went inside a pyramid - not recommended if you are scared of enclosed spaces, or slightly on the large side. The tunnel we went down was 5ft heigh, and 4ft wide, and went down approx 40 ft.
I did get upset at the massive culture difference in the capital Cairo. Business men in brand new cars, next to kids riding donkeys and begging.
Made me cry!! It doesnt take much!!!
Ive actually hardly been anywhere... not the kind of places being mentioned on this thread anyway...
Ive held my first passport for about a year now, without use... very tempted, should a month's end come around when there is enough cash left in the piggy-bank, to grab a seat on that there new-fangled Chunnell wassname and hit the continent, shouting *remember Agincourt* etc etc.... isnt that how foriegn travel is done?

4. Pyramids, Eygpt
5. Grand Canyon (Actually we're off there soon)

9. Vatican City (just come back from Rome and adored the place)
If I think of any more I'll add them
Would dearly like to see the hole near Tikrit where Saddam Hussein was winkled out from.....although it might be best to wait until the fuss has died down.
I would like to see the hole they discovered recently and have claimed to be the biggest hole in the world.....I think its in borneo...,may be worth a peek
