I know this is a Swinging site, but from time to time most watch a bit of telly, and I wondered how many SH members had switched to a flat panel TV and if so what type LCD or plasma?
Personaly I haven't been too impressed with LCDs. And as the for the HD broadcasts being shown in my local Sony centre, they revealed fine movement jitter.
So is it a flat-panel land for lots of SH members, or are many sticking with their trusty CRTs for the time being for their livingroom viewing experience?
Generaly
32" and over go for a plasma
Under 32" go for LCD
The problems are if you are using analogue tv then the picture is hit and miss as the screens are so good they will show any flaw in the signal more.
If you have Sky or Cable (especially HD) then yes they aer far better than CRT.
I currently use a 28" Sony CRT fed with a Freeview box. I picked up the TV with glass door stand last year off ebay for just over a ton.
I find the screen a bit small and feel 37" is the minumum for WS living room viewing.
So any 42"+ flat panel users out there?
My geeky friend assures me that plasma screens will break down in about 5 years whilst LCD won't. Higher resolutions are better... seems to other technical stuff too but it's too  for me.
