I let slip in the chatroom that I was playing SimCity - and was called a saddo!
But I do like games where you create rather than shoot the shit out of things (just for a change).
Games I have enjoyed playing have been ones such as:
Theme Park World
Civilisation - though I admit once I had developed my country as much as I could, I build an army and committed genocide in every other nation (resulting in me ruling the world)
So I am now Mayor of San FranPolo, Polo City and New Polo with a view to constructing Las Polo in another adjoining region.
Am I alone in enjoying this type of game?
Do people still use the word "saddo"?
My kids love playing them kind of games....Zoo Tycoon and Empire Earth are the ones at the moment!
I used to play the original board game that Civilisation was based on - an 8 player game of which would normally last 24-36 hours. I do still have it on the shelf downstairs, but can't ever imagine finding enough time to play it again, unless we end up snowed in or something like that.
Yep, I'm a self confessed game addict.....much to the OH's annoyal lol
My daughter is a fan of The Sims and sometimes when she's in bed and I have nothing better to do I love to build those houses and send them in! lol.. so no you are not a 'saddo' I think computer games can be very theraputic.
