I have been hunting for an advert now for some time.
Most of you will probably know it, its the flake advert where there is the woman in the poppy field.. eating a flake, I did have it but its very very low quality so it looks dam terrible when put on a dvd.
The reason i want it so bad is because we know this flake girl and promised we would try to find a copy for her, there not currently on the internet so can't get it themselfs sad
If anyone can find it anywhere on the net that is downloadable then please let me know, you will have mine and her full gratitude.
loads of thanks biggrin
Shaz xx
I don't know if this is it.....

Yeah but with no luck, not for that particular one anyway
I will just have to see if there is a quicker way of getting it from Cadbury's themselfs..
See, the internet don't hold ALL content like some think hehe
I remember struggling to get Anthony Hopkins only 2 songs he ever made as well ( distant star and ordinary man ) and Tony ended up having to get them from a certain auction site lol
oh well, thanks for your help peeps.

the earliest i can find is 87 which was the girl in the french chateaux, damn its hard to find. always the way with the one you want.
Hope this helps.
Flake are just about to start re-advertising on TV in a similar style to the original 70's ad you are looking for.
There is an ad industry 'showreel' archive but I can't remember the details at the moment.
A company called Focus PR are handling the latest ad PR and they should be able to point you in the right direction. (email )
If not, ring Campaign Magazine (Haymarket Publishing), it is the ad industry weekly mag - they will know where you can find it - if available.
If Focus can't help, the agency doing the creative for the new Flake campaign is Publicis: They might have a copy of the old adverts to give them "inspiration" - in case the red braces don't work.
I like coincidences - the coincidence here is that: "The campaign was art directed by Poppy Wilcox," from this item about the new campaign:
this maybe the reason you cant find it hun
There was sometimes controversy surrounding the adverts. In the 1970s, one of them was taken off air amid complaints of the seductive way the Flake Girl bit the Flake. Another one had to be re-shot following complaints at the way the Flake was licked, before being nibbled.

ill go have another look wink
