Already said, but worth repeating, excellent effort by Devon1 (and his sidekick stumpy the very lovely Skimpy ) For some bizarre reason I had followed the progress of the South West munch from when it was a little poll, asking if and where it should be. Then I wasnt able to get to the first SW munch and followed that thread and the thank you thread. And then the 2nd was proposed, and I couldn't not go really. Thanks for making it happen D1.
Thanks again to the Sandboys for putting me up, and for toast the following morning and letting me use your phone to try and track down my lost mobile.
Ice pie, sartorial elegance personified... thanks for the special badge! I don't often keep my badge as I prefer to swap with someone at the end of the night, but i am glad I got this one given back!
OK, so what happened. Erm.... typical munch memory wipe out happening, I remember everything really until the munch started and then it went all blurry and quick. Sorry to anyone I miss out here, but the munch was hectic and with a few beers down my neck too, I am struggling to recall everyone....
Before the munch bumped into Dambuster and HLB, strolling along the back streets of Plymouth quay, then the elusive Equi-princess turned up and we all went to the venue. But this was about 2 hours before it started, and I really should have had soft drinks then, but stupidly didn't. Cuddlebunny and Marcuso arrived, and I don't think Dambuster heard Cuddlebunny refer to him as Arsebuster, so I wont mention it here. And Marcuso was trying to fool everyone into thinking he'd gone serious, by wearing a grey suit... but redeemed himself later by changing into a hula skirt with flashing tits, red shorts and THOSE boots....
Erm, then it all kind of went a bit mental from just after 7pm until 5am when I crashed out.
I remember in no particular order... waiting for fecking ever for a cab afterwards... and trying to sneak aka-loco into a black cab, only for the cabbie to get very irate. Having a proper chat at last to Vix and Reese, and spilling Cuddlebunnies drink. And at some point i was wearing a pair of black angel wings with a black fluffy halo... ( as said, I rescued the halo Skimpy... but if anyone tells you it fell down the loo, they're lying...) And DevonDelight being very bubbly. And someone who I think is "pussinboots", who I should have spent more time talking to... being very very nice indeed. ( was it you I got incredibly shy with later and apologised for about a week...?????) And Englishchris! Nice fella.... big fluffy head, but nice fella!
Erm, Marms proving his avatar in a crowded pub... and there was so much else... just struggling to recall it.
Then there was the after munch party at room 212. Which got incredibly loud and rowdy. Somehow I ended up wearing Vix's bra, and I must say i looked damn fine! so much so that I swapped it for a postie hat. ( though I promise i am not going to wear it, that's not really my thing...) And then leaving room 212 and going onto the next hotel, except there wasn't enough room in Marm's car, so i waited. And although Marms offered to wait until i got in at the next hotel, I said to go, which in hindsight is stupid. As i couldn't get in and had no idea of where i was, and i only had 4p in my pocket. So I walked into plymouth, to get to a cash point. But they were all flucked up due to the time change. So I walked about 3 miles back to towards sandboys house, in the rain, before i found a machine that was working and got a cab for the last mile.
Did I have a good time... NO. I had an excellent time and the hardcore who didn't make it this time should definately get down to the next SW munch... you'll have a blast.... lovely people and I hope they can get to a few of the "mainland" munches through the year.

Right, Angelica has got a nasty sore throat and cough - and I haven't! 
We've narrowed the short-list of potential culprits down to about 6 but if anyone wants to fess up to spreading the dreaded lurgi it'll enable us to target and limit the outbreak.
MikeC wasn't there this time so who was it!!
All expressions of sympathy will be met with a loud hacking cough.
(And before I get the usual load of grief I'm taking really good care of her - even bought her some liquorice for trick or treat!)
Come to think of it if we add DD's G-string to the list of suspects that's 7 - anyone heard 'Cough on a G-String'?

Since I still haven't been to a munch yet (although I'm definitely going to Marcuso's, woohooooo!!!) it's really nice to read thank-you threads like this and hear how much fun everyone had - I'm even more excited about going to my first munch than I was before!
(although, after seeing that pic of postie - I'm now more scared than I was before, as well :P )
Wish I could have made it to Plymouth - I'm only in Somerset! I'll definitely be at the next SW munch. Looking forward to meeting some of you at Marcuso's!

Oooh, I think I might be the culprit. I had the start of a cold on Friday and it kind of progressed on Saturday so I was in two minds whether to attend the Munch as I didn't want to spread it round.
I'm now in full blown snot bag mode so I guess that's my punishment for spreading my nasty germs.

thanks devon1 for arranging the munch. we didnt make it to the afternoon meeting, not that we said we would we got to plymouth around 3pm droped of our bags took a walk up to westward bound and when we got back to the hotel the time just semed to disapear.
i now know that marmalaid is all male, oh and can balance on his hands. didnt manage to introduce ourselves to everyone.

Probably nobody will even remember that I was stressing about going on a date on the sunday following the munch.... well from that I have picked up a "not" girlfriend. i.e. a casual relationship that isn't casual enough to contine shagging anything that moves and some things that don't, but isn't serious enough that we have to see each other on a defined regular basis.
So this makes me happy, and partially explains why I havn't been on here for ages!!!
The other reason I havn't been around is because I was busy with things like going for a job interview... fingers crossed on that one because I won't find the result out till next week.
So there you go... useless information that nobody asked for... its all "me me me" with some people!
