pm''s into mail box?
notifications in general today (thread replies etc) seem to have gone berzerk for me today
usually, if a thread I have posted in (be affraid) has had a reply, I'll get ONE notification even if further replies have been made since, as long as I haven't viewed... (still there?)
but today... every single one has sent a notification to me.
I opened outlook or whatever today, and a huuuuge list came up... I thought I was popular for a minute

no this is about actual mail, not replies to threads. i don't ask for notifications for that. but any way the mail still isn't there even though i've had an email to say that it is here.

I had 10 ish emails telling me I had a mail- but no mail!

what's the longest it's taken for your mail to get in to your inbox? i would have thought that it would get here quicker than the email to tell me it's here?

Apologies, we've just cleared out a large backlog of mail. The notifications would be from old messages that you have already received and read on the site.

Regrettably we've had to de-activate the mail forwarding option. We shouldn't really be sending out private data in an external email. We'd had to turn it off because it will cause us to get blacklisted by the likes of , , etc.
Down the line, if we were blacklisted, we wouldn't be able to send out vital emails for new registrations, new mail notifications, password resets, and so forth - so turning it off was essential.
