Been to the docs today and have been diagonsed with a throat and ear infection.
Have any of you had that before?
How can something that sounds so superficial knock you off your feet so much and break the bank in prescriptions?!
:fuckinghell:
:violin:
Did they check the nose?
You could have gone for the hat trick!
Anything specific?
ive known loads of people get ear infections, and loads of people get throat infectins. but never at the same time!
you lucky girl you!
on the upside, they are not fatal (mostly) and the drugs should have you back on your feet in no time smile
lol
Think I've got the 'man flu' state of mind
Aw, sorry to hear that. sad
Just take things easy, and don't forget to take the whole course of antibiotics. :therethere:

Ears, noses and throats are all physically connected by tubes so it's quite common.

And throw in some paracetamol, aspirin or ibuprofen to bring your temp down as that's what makes you feel like crap. And use proper dosages not half measure lady size portions.

I woulda been there, prostrate on the tiles, ready to arrest your fall with my ample cushioning effect ..... mouth open ......... la la la lala, not listening anymore.....
<<< pole vaults to the kitchen for a brew rolleyes
I had something similar years ago - 'itis from upper chest to eyebrows. It was very unpleasant. So my thoughts go to you.
Keep up the fluids, and don't be surprised if you feel better and then get knocked back. If you rush back to work as soon as you start to feel better you'll probably put yourself back sick for a week.
Take care xxxxxxxxx
Hope you begin to feel better soon....
I've had similar a few times and I thought I was dying! As an added plus I had double quinsy as well....yukk!
And don't get me started on prescription charges!! Always worth asking if its something you can buy over the counter... can save pounds. Or if you have long term medications buy a prescription card (cant remember the proper name), saves even more!

Better yet, contract diabetes then it's free
Hope you feel better soon hun! like others have said, keep your fluids up, and try and eat when you can, even if its only soft food, and lots of orange juice may help too..
I used to work in a chemist, and give lots of advice about these sort of infections.. just a quick word of warning - if you're taking antibiotics, watch what other top up medicines you're taking, as some can interact and make you feel worse than you already do - if you're at all worried, go and have a chat with your pharmacist, they will be able to tell you what's safe.
Take care hun, cyber hugs coming your way!!! :therethere:
