Ok, so do any of you believe that someone can predict the future for you?
Personally I don't know what I believe. I've never been to see a clairvoyant or anything like that as I think I'd rather not know what is to happen.
Also Horoscopes - are they accurate?
I get mine sent through by email everyday - I don't read them religously but they do sometimes make sense. I know that what they say can be applied to millions of other people but what made me kind of believe was one a few years back (in the Sun newspaper of all places!) which went along the lines of "If you are going out with friends tonight be prepared for a musician who has his eye on you. He will be interested in seeing you again."
What actually happened:
I went to the pub one Friday night with some friends after work. We were all sat round a big table and one of the blokes (we'll call him Scott) friends joined us. A few people went home by this stage so we all moved to a smaller table. It turned out that the people who had joined us were Scott's band mates. On the Monday Scott told me that one of the band members liked me and wanted to go out for a drink........ we ended up going out for a few months and had a really good time.
I didn't read the horoscope for the Friday until the next day (Saturday) so I didn't "plan" any of it - it all happened how the horoscope said it would. Now personally I don't think this could apply to many people. I could be wrong though!
It did make me wonder if any of it is actually true or if it is just luck.
Your thoughts please?

biggrin
So does that mean that every one of the thousands of people that are the same star sign as you that went out that night met a musician that fancied them? confused :? :?
Thank god us Librans don't believe in that horoscope stuff !!!! lol
Not the old......... you will meet a musician who has their eye on you line........ Geeehhheeezzzz........ If I had a pound for every time it happened to me........ wink
The thing to remember is how many with your star sign would have gone out that night.....how many with friends......how many musicians are there. Some where along the line I reckon that prophecy would have come true for a good many folks.
If you take time to read all the 'horror-scopes' they are so wide open that for them not to apply to someone is impossible.
As for stuff like the Tarrot, my sister reads the cards...or should I say she is expert at picking up on feelings and reactions. She feeds these back into her reading and thus provide the person with the positive mental attitude to go forward and kind off sublinely aim towards the reading if it was good, or away if it was bad, thus acheiving the prediction.
Real or fake, who knows, but they all make you think about yourself, and thats where all this physco stuff works, deep within yourself. Only YOU can make the difference.
I think horoscopes that are written for a specific person, taking into account their time and place of birth into account can be quite accurate, but the stuff in the newspapers is really just for a laugh. It really would be amazing if a 12th of the population had the same kind of day every day. Never likely to happen really.
I did read a horoscope years ago in a monthly magazine that was spooky though "You will meet true love behind a dark wooden door with your age on it". My then boyfriend lived with his mum in a house that had the same street number as my age, it was a dark wooden door, we'd only been seeing each other a couple of weeks but we ended up being together for over 12 years!
I've been to a tarot reader who is also a psychic medium with her own show on Key 103 (Manchester radio station) and some of the things she's said have been so accurate that she couldn't possibly be reading between the lines or reading my reactions because she's shocked me with stuff that she knows from my past - and I know several other people who have said the same things about her. I believe there are lots of genuine people doing this, its just that there are a lot more not-so-genuine people making a lot of money out of making things up and it's just a matter of luck which one you happen to find.
