Everyone has their own personal preference when it comes to swinging and that's each couple's and individual's preogative. Why is it then that being new to this site, we were contacted by a couple who within a few lines of chat asked what hotel shall we meet at. We said we would like to verify who they were first on cam and to see if there was a connection, their response?... well they launched into a tirade of abuse accusing us of not being genuine and how well known they were and that they weren't going to prove anything to us. Well they weren't well known to us and aggressive pushy people like that do the swinging cause no good whatsoever particularly to newcomers. Not everyone is suited to everyone and our preference is simply to see who we are chatting to and get to know a little about them to save everyone time and probably an embarresing situation, call us fussy but we have no time for people like that...anyone else have any thoughts on this subject?

You are entirely justified in asking for more interaction online before deciding whether to meet or not - many people won't meet without this.
Aggressive behaviour is against the site AUP - and if they were long standing members, they'd know this.
If it carries on, report them to admin.

Long standing members do it too though - understanding the AUP doesn't necessarily mean people take any notice of it.
I would have thought that even for safetys sake its better to chat a bit first, and what happens if you agree to meet at a hotel, and they dont show, and you land up with the bill, as well as the disappointment?

Nightbirds....you did absolutely the right thing...we never meet people until we have had some social interaction first. That's why we like going to social's and munches, as we get to meet people in a fun social environment. That way, you gradually get to know the people you connect with and are attracted to and vice versa for the other parties.
Hope one day you can make a social near the Midlands!!

Could go on all night about this... rudeness can rear it's ugly head anywhere and anytime it seems.. There are bullies, liers and manipulators round every corner waiting with there nasty minds poised..
The thing is.. Remember who they are, stay clear as for every twisted nasty minded evil jealous minded swine theres a dozen who will surprise you with kindness wisdom and you will make good and lasting friendships.. Stick to YOUR comfort zone. Things will work out.. Take your time and its fun..
