Lies and deceit can only bring unhappiness in the end for all concerned.......

SunBunny..... all i can say is... the answer to all your questions lay within you sweetheart... you have to trust yourself to do what is right for you at any given time... and from what i can gather you have done this, but it wasn't quite right......
How to determine who is being honest with you.... only you can really answer that one too.. people act differently towards different people do we not???
ramble finished.. just had to add my thoughts.... redface

are u following me rotflmao
Sunbunny, If are beginning to think that you are in a series of action replays, you are probably right in thinking that there may just be something about how you present yourself to people.
I think most of us have the repeat mistake factor in us. Which is why we choose not to do certain things, and avoid the circumstance which can lead to them. We learn to recognise them and avoid them.
But this is probably something you need to learn for yourself. As taking advice from others does not appear to be working for you.
redface just grabbing 5 minutes.. b4 going back to the corner rolleyes sheesh!! cannae sneak out that room for 5 mins
kiss
I can not lie to MR Debs............. other wise i will feel so guilty!
i rang some man up once with out telling him...... it took me 2 days of being a bag of nerves to tell him............he didn't mind at all .............but it wasn't the fact that i thought he might......... it was the fact that i didn't ask him at the time!!.. PHONE SEX............ but np with it now
Now if Mr Debs goes off and shags another women and not tells me the only thing that would upset me was the fact he never told me all the sex bits he got up to.......as it turns me on
hope this makes sense as not very good at putting my points across as i haven't got me nils on yet biggrin
i cant believe im actually typing this but i quote that bloody trisha goddard confused
if you keep catching the wrong fish, change the bait.
theres nothing wrong in being honest and trust worthy, but truely honest and trust worthy people are a dying breed and the strong will always eat the weak its nature.
now im not saying your weak s.b im just saying maybe you wear your heart on your sleave a little much. theres nothing wrong in that at all, but you must be prepared to take the pain when someone that dosnt show their heart as much lets you down.
another saying is a Leopard never changes its spots, now that is usually ment for a bad egg. but it can work both ways.
a Leopard cannot change its spots, but it can learn to be a tiger.
just remember the people that have let you down and use it as a lesson so you know what to look out for in the future. you dont have to turn into some nasty hard faced cow and not trust anyone again. just protect yourself a little better and create a little shield for that sleave wink x
x rache x
Thanks Rachel - just what I needed - some honesty. xx
I think Tune Essence said it better, but if you don't put yourself into that position where you'll maybe be hurt, then you'll never really trust that person. Which would be your loss. Part of falling for someone is going out on that ledge, and hoping they are there to catch you....
Personally, I would trust anyone until I am proven wrong. Otherwise it would be an awful way to live my life, always being suspicious. If you are being constantly hurt, maybe look at why, but could you really change? Would you want to?
I hope something makes sense somewhere for you. Don't go changing who you are, just because someone else has not had the same principles as you, that would be surrendering who you are to become something you don't want to be.
postie. Thats about what I was trying to say.
Dont let the world make you cold.
Or as its put bluntly... Don't let the bastards grind you down.
I would rather be hurt than close myself off and build emotional brick walls around myself and keep everyone out.
There are good people out there, but bad ones too.
In my experiences I have learnt that you should always go on gut instinct. Trust yourself first and you will be able to trust others.
Now (but only in the last few years), I trust almost everyone. I take people at face value (unless I really get a bad vibe from them) and I continue to do so until they break my trust in one way or another.
The hardest lesson to learn is to not let yourself be too hurt by someone breaking your trust. To echo some of the sentiments above, you do not have to turn into a person with a heart of stone, but you do have to place your experiences into perspective and make sure that you do not allow your heart to rule your head.
By the same token however, you should not allow your head to get into a loop of mistrust.
it is a fine balancing act, I know, but by being open and honest with people (I believe) allows you to expect the same from others and, when they let you down, have the confidence to know that it is their loss.
Keep your chin up SunnyBuns, take life as an adventure to be enjoyed and make sure that you know that you are the one who rules your emotions, not others.
I hope that all of the support you have recieved in here helps hun kiss
Thanks everyone for your honest replies, on here and in PMs. I will take all advice on board, that's why I asked for it.
You have pretty much echoed my own thoughts - Why should I change to accommodate for arseholes? I quite like being me and would hate to function with less emotion. It is part of me.
What I won't do is swing. I'll leave that for you 'orrible lot. lol

Hi,
Some people who know me think I am naive - I agree with them actually! - while others just see a trusting soul.
Like many have already said, I trust until that trust is broken, and once gone, it is gone forever. However, and this is where the biter is, I move on happily in life until the next hurdle. There will always be someone or something that does not measure up to expectations or promises; it is how we deal with these situations that make us who we are.
Some folks do gradually harden their outlook; I hope I never do because my naive trust has also brought me many new and cherished friendships along the way. I am who I have always been and (hopefully!) will forever be. If that is not to someone's liking, I forget about them.
Why? Cause there's always plenty more where they came from!
How? Cause I won't be broken by life throwing stones at me.
Sometimes the past seems to haunt us, tomorrow seems out of reach but that's the best bit about tomorrows, they will always be there. smile

I'm hoping we can trust this thread not to get too personal

Well IMHO it would appear that it has.
A public forum isn't the place to make personal attacks and even if they're not personal attacks the people responding certainly seem to think that they are. I think it's time to draw the subject to a close ......... certainly in public anyway.
