I absolutely love em!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Love em with a vengence :bounce:
Sod nightclubs, n cosy quiet romantic nights out - gimme a night full of pub songs  preferably with someone heading it on a guitar/piano and I'm happier than a pig in mud
Other cracking ones, which I would class as 'Pub Songs', the songs I can't keep my mouth shut to are
Swing Low Sweet Chariot
Country Roads
American Pie
Living next door to Alice
And I think I would put Angels by Robbie in the Pub song category too - cos there ain't many people who don't join in with it :lol2:
What other ones are there that I'm forgetting?
What do you class as a 'Pub Song'?

OMG I love that :lol2: My daughters have been brought up on that song and still jump around to it on the opening bars :lol2:
Not so much a song, but that Greek Music that gets played - does anyone know what it's called?? The one that starts slow, gets faster and ends up really speedy

Love the Irish style songs - the ones that have a really catchy chorus, so even if you've not heard it, by the end of the song you're singing your heart out :lol2:
The Pogues I adore worship
The Jam/Sex Pistols stuff - good for that 'omg I remember this way back when...' - but no good for getting a whole pub up singing, cos a lot of people don't know the words ..... or I don't anyway :lol2:
I also love the 'Daisy Daisy' type songs, but they're over too soon sad Unless you sing it over and over for 10 identical verses :lol2:

Oh but it's fun when driving along, looking at all the other drivers lips moving, having to fill in the 'extras' :lol2: Easy to spot who's listening to the same station as you!!! lol

There's a couple of pub's that I used to go in with friends that played the following (and others - I'm not going to incriminate myself too much lol ) and we all used to jump around like idiots playing air guitar.....yes, I know....rolleyes
Jump - Van Halen
Sweet child of mine G'n'R
Final Countdown - Europe
Poison - Alice Cooper
Paranoid - Black Sabbath
Smoke on the water - Deep Purple
Ace of Spades - Motorhead
Can't remember the others....maybe because we used to be rather unsteady (read - drunk or atleast on the way  ) by then

Na Na Na NaNaNa Naaaaaaa Hey Jude
HeyJudeAJudeAjudeAjudeA!!! :bounce:
Theres a pub in eastbourne that actually has a live band come in and perform famous songs, people get on *stage* with them and sing kareoke along with them!

That is way too naughty for a pub song,
"I want to hurt you just to hear you screaming my name"
Mr NWC has got that CD playing in the background of the young lad from XFactor who did all the swing stuff and there are some real sing along songs on there, Thats Life, My Way etc etc.
But the one's which always gets me singing along as to be Paradise by the Dashboard Light  and 'kissing in the backrow' (which is just playing on BBC1)

I will stick it on my list of 'to do's' but as for the song, I have it in my car at the moment and there is nothing I like more than when your stuck in traffic, opening the window wide, music turned up very loud and singing it at the top of my voice (shortly followed by a bit of meatloaf). I dont half get some funny looks confused
Am singing my head off here and its not good redface
Excellent thread Missy and most of my suggestions have been mentioned but not...
Y M C A :karaoke:
Radio GaGa by Queen
Don't you want me baby by Human League dunno
Anything by Bon Jovi has to be sung along to- it's the law!
Meatloaf  The Pogues
Oh, and A town Called Malice- fantastic to sing along to.
A sing along can do amazing things to your mood. One of the best nights I've ever had was standing on deck whilst we all sang sea shanties. Whisky in hand, stars stretched out above us. From the songs that made us all cry to the cautionary tales about Lobsters & never letting your bollocks dangle in the dust. It was a magical night I'll always remember.
I used to go to Oompah Nights back in the early eighties, used to be a great laugh! smile
Heck, Ive got a song stuck in me head now and I cant remember the actual name of it.... confused :?

The Bierkeller does oompah nights... or is this just a Bristol thing? Sometimes they have a German Bands playing some of the oldies...where us english have changed the song lyrics to rude ones.
Oh I do love my Irish Bands too, I had Wylde Green play for my 40 birthday....right good sing-a-long! If anyone gets chance to see them...you'll have a good night.
Raggle Taggle Gypsie, streets of London, Dueling Bangos...
Its Paddys Day Saturday isnt it... could do with a night out and a sing song.
An Ive still got this other song on my head.... grrrrrrrrrr wish I could remember the name of it lol
