Not so long ago I turned a corner to find a twenty year old lass. Her bear arms folded tight over almost bear breasts. The wind was cold and the lack of length to her skirt did nothing to keep her warm.
Knowing her as I did I said "You need a pullover."
"No I don't, I have loads." She patted her small purse. Pulling out a string of condoms, she added "Do we need one."
"I am married, you know."
"Yes, but do we need a pullover."..........
Now the questions are;
Is Pullover a widely used term for a condom?
Am I nerve?
And do you know any other non-standard words for condoms?
My gran used to offer to knit me a pullover.
It would probably have been a shocking colour and 4 sizes to big.
I am sure over the years all sorts of terms and names for condoms have been used, and I am sure for many more years to come they will be to.
Where I come from they were called "rubber jonnies" or just "jonnies"

I was just thinking, is it only British young ladies who go out at night and freeze, in shirts and tops that have just been pulled out of the washing machine, having been put in on a far to hot setting, just to pull.
...and ladies would you walk the streets like that?
...guys would you feel that you had to offer them some warmth?
