We was out in a local pub last week talking to good friends, I dunno how but we got onto the subject of baking more important bread, out friend companion for the night was a allmost 70 y/o, and she was talking to my hubby, but I was half listerning, she went onto the subject of bread making  , now is it just me or do other people PRETEND they know what they on about when PISSED that they know everything confused anyway back to the script, he was on about white and brown bread how to get it soft etc, when she popped up and mentioned bared brith (speckled bread means bread with suger n fruit)
any way I remembered we had it a few week ago and mention paul my partner makes excellent bara brith so they asked him to make them some :? the problem came the day after, he reminded me of the conversation, now here's how it went, " what the feck u doing telling people I will bake them bara brith" well u made it last week" no I said I would like to try make it but don't know how to" well what did we eat on sunday" a shop bout bara brith (tesco) (((((((((( VERY NICE biggrin ) then ermmmmmmmmmmm quiet shit why did I drink so many, anyway, he now has a recipe for the bread lol just hope the old gals don't realise it is my hubby that cooks the stuff not me lololol redface rolleyes but the whole point was have u put your partner in a predicament, and got out of it

Generally if a partner sets me up to do something I'm not expecting. I either don't do it or get the partner to do it or get the people whom it was intended to be done for; to do it, or just suggest everyone forgets it and have a drink andf a curry or whatever..
Mmmmm...Bara Brith!
As someone who was born and bred on the stuff, got to point out that although 'bara' means bread in Welsh, it really is more like a cake when done properly (My old Nan's own!)
As for the pissed know-all's, I seem to meet quite a few of those.... mad
(just occured to me I should point out I'm not pissed at the moment!)
