I purchased this TV series box set for myself for my birthday...been watching it today...what a brill series, rediscovering it has been fun!
Esp those sex scenes  hump
Anyone else a fan?
xx
yeah I watched it first time round thought it was really good biggrin
We ahve them on DVD, too. Series 1 and 2. Can't watch more than 2 episodes without having to stop for a fuck break!
i remember it when it was on telly a few years ago, i was totally hooked, loved it biggrin
Yeah, watched them all when they were on telly, then bought the videos and watched them til they were worn and crackly. I must get round to replacing them with DVDs (I'm always behind the times rolleyes ).
So, who was your fave character? I must say I thought Stuart was cool... an arrogant git and I'd hate him in real life.... but he did have an amazing apartment lol
I do have to admit, the series did nothing for me.
Not my cup of tea at all.
I was one of the few that avoided it at all costs. confused
Well, we are all different I suppose.
I remember it causing a bit of a storm when it was on tv because of the gay sex scenes. I watched a couple of episodes but never really got into it. The guy with the dark hair was very promiscuous if i remember rightly.
Did anyone catch the US version? Very poor. Very, very poor.
How come the Americans just don't get UK drama or comedy?

A lot of people say this is because they dont get irony or sarcasm which is what a lot of our comedy is based on

So Da69ve,do you enjoy living dangerously?! lol
Bluexx, I have enjoyed watching the characters develop over the series, I initially liked Stuart, so up for fun, laughs, good old dirty clean sex, living life to the full, but as you watch the series, he became a rather sad character with nothing in his life apart from sex, sex and more sex. Im enjoying Nathan at the moment, im only up to the episode where hes just had his 16th birthday....so cant comment on anything else yet!!
Back to the TV.... lol

Just a little....honest!
did you know the writer of this series also did Dr Who?
Yes I used to enjoy that when it was on TV, but didn't get to see the whole series or 2 series, might have to buy the DVDs if they are available now.
I remember there was a lot of fuss about it when it was on and that made it more popular....we all used to talk about it at work (sad lives!)
wink
Remember watching it when it was first broadcast and being hooked from the first episode. Series 1 was definately the better of the two they made, tried watching the american version of it but it just wasn't the same. Seen all the main characters in other things since, but never the guy who played stuart.
Absolutely loved it, work in the venue that "Babylon" was based on, know the writer and some of the actors, went to college/drama classes with the girl from series 1 (nathans' best mate) and generally the whole series reflects my life, living and working on the scene in Manchester. Yep, I love it!
you've set me off now i'm going to look for the dvd's now when i go shopping tomorrow lol
in answer to bluexxx i like Nathan best
What a fab show this was, no surprises the yanks made a total cockup with there version, they normally do with any shows they steal from us.....
wink
Amazingly I’ve never seen the show. I don’t watch a lot of TV (television that is)
.. And should we forget who we're talking about.....

cool 8-) 8-)

Did u ever see that tipping the velvet? And the L word? I quite like them shows

I agree, I love "Tipping the Velvet" and bought the DVD set.
"The L Word" seems good, but I have only seen the pilot episode on DVD. The series is tucked away on the Living Channel, so can only be seen by a small minority over here. It was very popular in the States, can't understand why none of the terrestrial channels were interested in it.
Oh, and I never watched "Queer As Folk".
Tipping the Velvet was brilliant, another British class act.
The L Word just doesnt do much for me, but MrGHC is thoroughly into it, can think why rolleyes To me I just find that American programmes just dont have that edge that the British ones do...... :!:
Tipping the Velvet is great too, absolutely loved it, and the L word is addictive and the women damn sexy!
