question for the mods

This isn't a moaning question, makes no odds to me as i don't want to put my bits on my avatar anyway, i'm just confused really and wondered if you could clear something up, how comes you can't put genital shots on your avatar but you can put them on a post on the forum
Someone told me it was because you can't stop kids getting on the site and they can see them, but surely they can see messages posted with such pics on too?
like i said i don't want a genital shot on my avatar anyway i'm just curious to know why this is really

It's just that when it's on an avatar it is everywhere you post. When you put it in a specific post, you only see it the one time, unless someone quotes you.

I must admit - I would have thought genitals in post shouldn'y be allowed either - as you don't have to be registered to view them - it doesnt take much to scroll thru threads.
Just my opinion.
It's a shame there was no way of inhibiting viewing pics to registered members only as in the ads but I strongly suspect it would be impossible.

I agree with Alex and think that a modicum of propriety should be shown, but Alex you do post some near the knuckle pictures for your avatar...very alluring I might ad wink
