Oh dear Sarge, whilst I sit here (in the Lan cafe) feeling bitter and twisted, the frustration mounting...............it`s almost tempting to feel sorry for you, considering what you have yet to endure when I get back online. Almost, but not quite. 
Ok, so I`m currently (between checking messages here) trying to find a cheap hard drive, mine is possibly dead, the root files after formatting have been knackered. So I`m going to find a cheap (haha) retailer near me, or Ebay may save the day.

I`m using 98 for now, I`ve just found a 40 gig for 34 quid, if I pop into Bognor on the next bus I might be able to pick it up today. If you live close enough, and can do it cheaper, I`ll get Mars to meet up with you . I soooo need to get back online for job research

I am here because I can`t cope with not eating brekkie at the PC, so I sat here vainly going through the motions of reinstalling windows, knowing it wouldn`t work.......cept it did! WTF is that all about?! I did nothing different, one of my HDs just decided to work. I`m back on 16 colours and no sound, and am convinced the PC needs trauma counselling, and was simply having a bad mental break the other day.
Thankfully, Teppic will be meeting up with us tonight , and giving us some hardware which doesn`t need mental health counselling, until then I am NOT doing anything else to this machine.
It`s good to be back
